Best sandal-type shoe for the parks?

I've done the parks in Reef "Sandy" flip-flops and my trusty Keen "Newport" sandals but both are on their last legs so I'm thinking about trying something new for my trip in February. I am going to get some new Keens, but I'm interested in trying something else, too!

What sandal-type shoe do you like and would recommend for park touring? I've tried Crocs, and they just don't work for me and I don't like to wear athletic shoes when I'm not actually running.

The 'best shoe, stroller, shorts, hat, bag etc" threads ... are kept on the DIsney TIPS board and as such I'll be moving this one there.

Thanks,

Knox

I've worn Teva sandals on all my trips. Very comfortable and no blisters!

Nike flip flops are my favorite! They are SO comfy and squishy. I have a few different pairs and wear them all day every day, well, except for dinners out that are dressier. I pack sneakers but haven't worn them unless its too chilly for flips.

Hi there! My favorite Disney footwear would be Chacos sandals without question. You can adjust them as the day wears on if your feet swell, they have an orthodic grade footbed, and the first pair I had lasted almost 4 years - wearing them hiking, to Disney, and nearly every single day, all summer long. AND - it wasn't that they broke, I literally wore the soles off them. HUGE vote for Chacos. :cheer2:

I love love love my nike flip flops and my croc flip flops. I like my nikes better than the crocs b/c the crocs have the massaging knots in the sole and they something hurt my feet, but I can wear my nike flip flops all week with no problem

I love my Five Fingers from Vibram. I am a clutz with regular shoes on the soles get in my way. :rotfl2: These I can feel the pavement but my feet are still protected. They are also made my feet stronger. LOVE THEM!!

I love my Teva Hurricane sandals and Keen Venice sandals.

I also found that Teva Mush Flip Flops work well for half a day. So when I wear those, I make sure I'm going back to the room for a break and change shoes when we go back. They just don't have the support for me for a full day though.

I tried on a pair of Merrell sandals that were like walking on air but they were just too big for me. I wish they would make those in half sizes.

I got myself a pair of Crocs recently that I absolutley love.

I'm not talking about the big ugly type that everyone wears, they make different sandal styles that are really comfortable.

I also love my Teva sandals. Very comfy, and at the end of the day, my feet aren't sore after wearing them. My current Tevas are on their last legs, so I'll be replacing them prior to my next WDW vacation.

I love sandals and wear them all the time, but not at Disney. I really find that I need more support with all of the walking. Although, I must say, my Teva's are very comfortable and have a good deal of support, I don't know that I would wear flip flops.

I love my Teva sandals and my Rockport flip flops, I can walk forever in either one.

I also love Tevas. I need to buy a new pair & break them in before April. Thinking of picking up a pair of keens as backups - heard alot of great things about them.

My husband and I have back problems and we both love the Crocs. My husband only wears them to the parks, but he swears by them for that type of walking. I'm going to buy my 3rd pair tomorrow for my trip to WDW this weekend.

Nike Sport Sandals the whole family wears them..LUV them and they always last me 2 years..Damn kids growing feet...lol bc theirs would last two too...

I have a question about sandal recommendations, sort of. I've been to Disney many times and I normally wear flip flops 99% of the time; however, I've been in physical therapy for my foot so, I'm thinking my Old Navy flip flops aren't going to do the trick. I have a weird thing about sneakers and such though so I'd rather not wear those. So, to conclude this slightly too long post, I'm looking for a pair of supportive sandals that are slightly cute (I'm a 17 year old girl after all ;) ). Any suggestions?

Does anyone who has arch problems wear crocs?
My right foot need more of an arch, I usually put the extra arch support inside my shoes. I have heard the crocsa are great for feet like mine, but I bought a pair and they seem kind of flat to me. Otherwise, very comfy.
