Best salads and soups

I enjoy the salad at Garden Grill very much. Boma offers an interesting (in a good way) variety of soups.
I was about to say the same thing. The salad at Garden Grill was really tasty - my daughter was convinced that it was because "they picked the vegetables from boat ride" before we arrived. :) And the soups at Boma were INCREDIBLE.

I would have to say the Cobb Salad at Brown Derby. I have never tried one until our last trip over Christmas week. It was outstanding!

100 x this. The Cobb Salad at HBD is the only food item I have to have every single trip. We like to sit outside at the lounge and pair a glass of wine with it. Add a slice of grapefruit cake for dessert and all is good.

Chefs de France.

I wouldn't consider it an entree but the Salade aux lardons et croutons is to die of.... (It's almost as wonderful as the Frisée, Kale & Warm Bacon Salad with a soft-poached egg at Mon Ami Gabi.) If only it had a poached egg it would transport me to the heavens.

And I hear the soups at Chefs de France are good too. But what kind of degenerate eats hot soup in Florida?

Anyway, go to Chefs. Get a salad and a steak frites. Thank me later.

While not one of my favorite restaurants in WS, they do have a very good French Onion Soup as well.

This really got me thinking. There are some solid salads at WDW:

I always get the "A Lot At Steak" salad at Skipper Canteen. So good that we make a rip off version at home sometimes. Steak, greens, pickled onions, cucumbers, etc.

The Declaration salad at Liberty Tree Tavern that's part of the family style dinner is so good. Love that dressing. A lot of the other family meal salads are good too. My family has been known to put a hurt on the Hoop Dee Doo, Whispering Canyon and the 'Ohana salads.

The caprese salads at Trattoria al Forno, Mama Melrose's and Tony's Town Square are all very good.

The house salad at La Hacienda de San Angel is very nice: greens, nuts, cheese.

Go to Satu'li Canteen and make your own salad. Those can be very tasty.

Cobb salad at Brown Derby or the salad bowls at Satu' Li Canteen in AK.

This is a little out of the way unless you are staying at POR or POFQ, but I really enjoyed the Sassagoula Power Salad with Chicken. The description from Disney: Chicken on top of Shredded Kale, Cabbage, Brussels Sprouts, and Radicchio with Quinoa, Dried Cranberries, Mandarin Oranges, Walnuts, and Red Onions with a Citrus Vinaigrette.

Yes, the "hearty greens" base at Satuli was a great salad.

It was seasonal, but Narcoossees had the best salad in August - it was called the summer peach salad and it was amazing. That and an appetizer and the almond crusted cheesecake would make a fabulous meal.
