Best route to Fort from St Augustine

We will be traveling to the Fort in November from St Augustine and just wondered with all the construction on Rt 4, what the best/easiest way would be to get to the Fort.

Any advice or info appreciated..

Even with the construction I think it is your best bet. Just watch your timing to avoid peak traffic

We travel to Fort Wilderness about 3 times per year from Palm Coast for vacations. We are less than 25 miles south of St. Augustine. We always use I 95 South to Route 4 and as long as we are not driving through Orlando between 8 - 9 am ... or 4 - 6 pm, we are usually OK with traffic. We also travel down for day trips to Downtown Disney or to the Polynesian for breakfast at Kona and to ride the monorail. Just last week we went to Downtown Disney and the construction was minimal. Seems lots of it is going on between 11 PM and 7 AM, according to signs. Not sure what it will be like in November, but we had no problem recently.
