Best rooms at WL?

We are going to be staying in the WL over Christmas & New Year, how excited am I!!! I've been reading on another part of the DIS boards that some woodsview rooms overlook MK and you can see the fireworks. Has anyone been lucky enough to stay in any of these? and if so what floor and room number? We have paid for a woodsview room.

I have not but it would be lovely to get an MK view. I think these rooms are the really high floors, aren't they? Quite difficult to get I imagine but I will cross my fingers for you

We're going to the WL from the 21dec- 1st jan and have booked a courtyard room, as i was under the impression its not a very clear view of the fireworks, although we booked courtyard, i did ring virgin also and request and inner courtyard room, as you get a view of the lake...which dates do u go?

we had two rooms and by happenstance, my kids had a view of the fireworks...(the rooms were across the hall from each other)...
but as another poster said, it was a very distant and partially obstructed view....
but you could ask for it i suppose...
if you look at the unofficial guide to Walt Disney World, they probably say which specific rooms to request....

Were flying out on 22nd Dec and coming back on Jan 6th. Have you stayed there before?

Have you managed to book some fab things?

We've managed to get everything we wanted, Christmas Eve at the candlelit processional, a sleigh ride from WL, sharing an illuminations cruise, Holiday decorations behind the scenes tour plus loads of character dining and nice meals booked. I'm so excited, am hoping the weather is going to be warm to!

We have also booked the candelight procession for 8:15 on xmas eve eating at le cellier beforehand...might see you there! lol
