Best Rooms at HOJO?

Request all you want but check in early. We booked in Dec for our April stay. We wanted premium Disney view 7th floor. We checked in after 9pm and all that was left was 5th floor behind a thick patch of those trees. I was crushed!!

The same thing happened to me in January. We had a flat tire on the way and the fog was extremely dense so it took us longer to get there than we planned for. By the time we arrived all they had left were the rooms that were obstructed by the trees and only 1 sink, not 2. I wasn't crushed though, just a little bummed. ;) They did offer to move us the next day but I started feeling sick and wasn't up to the challenge. It is, as they will tell you, simply a request; no guarantees.

Yeah, I guess "crushed" sounded a bit dramatic. Bummed I was though. The problem was that on our first stay we didn't even ask for 7th floor, just Disney view. It was sensational! 5th floor is great too except for the patch of tress! Lesson learned!

:goodvibes That's what happened with us too. We didn't ask for 7th floor on one trip but we got it. And on another trip, we weren't paying and my parents asked for a low floor so we ended up with the 3rd floor. :sad2: I think with Hojos it's more about the location on each individual floor rather than the actual floor number. I've had good views on all the floors except for the 3rd floor (and I assume anything below that as all we could see on the 3rd floor was the tip of Matterhorn and the roof of the front desk/office). I've also had obstructed views on all the floors so they all have good and bad...
OP there are a couple of threads that show you various views from Hojo bld 1:

Ordinarily I would never pay extra for a view, but I found a promo code for HoJo (LNLR) that gives you 15% off the rooms, and so I got a premium DIsney view for 2 nights for $282 instead of $331. Maybe booking through their in-house they have better deals? I'm not sure. Now I'm wondering if I should call....

I've never been to DL, but I am SO excited! We leave 2 weeks from tomorrow!
