Best room for elderly at RPH??

We're flying down to Florida and picking up our mother for her first Universal stay with us. Never had stayed at the RPH, but figured that's a better place for someone 78 that the HRH where we've stayed before.
So my question, can I request a room near an elevator, and is there a building that is closer to the boat launch? Is the boat the best way to get to the parks, or is the bus a better bet? Any advise appreciated since we're going next week. Tks!

You'll want Tower 3. Room number 3300 would be the best but it is a King Suite with pool view try for 3302 or 03. The bus will likely be less crowded, air conditioned and the least amount of walking to get to the Studios.
