Best Romantic Restaurants

Ok im getting married at WDW in december and will be there for 2 weeks

I would like to make sure i have some romantic meals booked for me and my future DH!

Apart from the obvious V&A what other options are there? im looking for more Park options and places around the GF and Boardwalk as thats where we are staying!

Congratulations!! DH and I had our honeymoon in WDW. Here are some romantic places we love:

California Grill - time the ADR to Wishes
Narcoossees in GF - great views
Le Cellier
Chefs de France

Staying at the GF, the best places are Citricos at the GF, California Grill at the CR, and Artist Point at the WL. At the Boardwalk, I like the Yachtsman Steakhouse at the YC, but it can be a little bit noisy. At the parks, the most romantic is the San Angel Inn at Mexico (dark but nice).

my ideas would be: Blue Zoo at the Dolphin, California Grill at the Contemporary, and Le Cellier at EPCOT.
San Angel may be another EPCOT choice, but mainly for romantic atmosphere (not really for the food).

So far, the tops for us for romance was BlueZoo. CG was also very nice once we tuned out the screaming toddler at a nearby table. CG is tough because alot of families want their kids to be able to see the fireworks from up there (who doesn't?) but it's a long meal for a child on a WDW vacation to sit thru.
But the food & the views are worth it.

I have done Narcoossees with my 17yo son & thought it's ambiance would be very romantic for me to return to with DH. The view of Wishes out over the lagoon is very, very romantic. Perhaps even more so for me than CG.

I also recently enjoyed Citricos with a friend, again thinking that it would be perfect for dining with my DH at.

For our romantic trip of indulgence for DH & I, coming up this Nov, we have chosen: BlueZoo, Party for the Senses, Citricos & Flying Fish. I timed Citricos for our meal to finish just before Wishes, which we will view from the GF marina. I am hoping it will be almost as enticing a view as I had from Narcoossees.

I would also recommend an in-room meal. We have had delightful dinners in bed, as well as breakfasts. It is terrifically cozy to cuddle up with your honey & feeding each other in the privacy of your own room.

We also find it very sensual to share our courses when dining out. Enjoying the same sensory experiences really kindles that romantic flame for us. Most of the signature places will pre-plate your dishes split if you ask. We enjoy doing several courses this way, it gives us a chance to sample many flavors & textures without being too full to enjoy it.

Bistro de Paris is a wonderful romantic dinner. Make a late ADR, hold out for a table by the window, and when illuminations starts they will come around and open the windows, and you'll be able to see the sky light up from where you sit.

Also romantic is Jiko at AKL. A bit of a hike, but well worth it. Request a table by the window, rather than in the middle of the room, and you'll look out on foliage and running water.

Also fun is to go to Pleasure Island, and go to the Adventurers Club and the Comedy Club, plus go dancing.

You might also enjoy an evening over at Citiwalk at Universal.

Forgive me for the down-beat response, but I've never been able to arrange for a really "romantic" dinner on-property, because as much as I love children, they don't enhance the "romance factor", and there aren't too many opportunities to have a dinner without the chatter of kids even at the upscale restaurants. That being said, we really like Artist Point, not necessarily because of the atmosphere, but because in our experience the food and service there are commensurate with what you'd expect from a real "romantic date night" restaurant.

If you're inclined to go off-property, Emeril's Tschoup Tschoup at Universal is our pick for the most romantic layout, and the food is, well, kicked up a notch.

Brown Derby at Disney/MGM Studios can be quite romantic. Those rounded booths allow you to get nice and cozy. If you do the dining plan there you can use two table service credits and get priority seating for Fantasmic as well.

Coral Reef restaurant at Epcot can be very romantic, especially if you get a nice seat in front of the windows. My wife and I joked about the Full House episode that was filmed in that restaurant and I "reproposed" to her, and then feigned getting a cell phone call saying my daugther was missing (she was missing, actually. She was starting classes 1000 miles away back home). It was good fun and we laughed it up and did a lot of emotional reconnecting.

We haven't done it (yet...) but there is the GF private dining option. I believe you get a choice of a few places at the GF to have a private table set up and can hire a butler just for you. The prices that I have read didn't seem too bad.

You can also book a Wishes fireworks cruise and pay to have food served on the boat as well.

Another thumbs up for Blue Zoo and Jiko. I also recommend AP and FF. I do take my 8 yr old dd to all of these places but they would make a nice romantic dinner for 2!!

on a side note check out the mandara spa at the swan & dolphin for a couples treatment. my husband & i did this the day after our wedding & it was so relaxing & romantic.

I've also heard wonderful things about GF private dining and would love to try it. I totally agree with Leota about Narcoossee's. We dined there 2 wks ago and timed it with Wishes. Plan on about 90 mins. prior to Wishes and ask for the best window seat possible. We waited only about 10 mins and had a wonderful window table. The view is really spectacular; I think it's partly b/c the sky is so open in front of you. We went outside on the dock and it was absolutely beautiful. I think it was one of the most romantic places I've ever experienced. The food is excellent as well.
In Epcot, San Angel Inn is an amazing place to dine, but the food quality can't compare. (Then again, the prices don't compare either!!) With its low lighting and authentically Mexican ambience, it really is a lovely place. We usually do lunch here as we don't enjoy the food all that much; but it is decent, and we just love the atmosphere. It's a must for us to eat there each and every time we go to DW.
When you go to Epcot, have dinner late if possible. (Le Cellier has been consistently wonderful for us. I've heard wonderful things about Bistro but haven't had the opportunity to go there yet.) After Illuminations, the shops stay open for some time, and the crowd really empties out. It is gorgeous to walk through World Showcase at that time. The lights stay on, the music is very romantic, and the walk along the water is breathtaking. It's a very romantic setting in my opinion. I always feel like I'm in Europe.
CONGRATULATIONS!!! Have a wonderful time at your wedding as it goes by so very fast. I'm sure your honeymoon will be the best!

Another vote for Artist Point. We have never felt that it was overcrowded, and at least when we have dined, there has not been an abundance of children there. DS4 goes to the Cub's Den at the WL when we dine alone at Artist Point...and the menu is fabulous.

I DEFINITELY agree with Royal Table at Cinderella's Castle. My DW and I ate there on our honeymoon and it was perfect. I even scooped up some of the mickey confetti and brought it home with me as a souvenir!

a tip I would suggest is always make the latest dinner reservation possible. When we dined at artist point last spring we had the last dinner reservation, and there was only one child in the entire restaurant. Children are too tired to go to dinner at 9pm after being in the parks all day
