I've read conflicting suggestions..
which type of hooks should we use for hanging stuff?
Main concern we have a over the door hanger toiletry bag. we use it in hotels all the time (well...as much as we go in hotels <grin>)
I have considered magnetic hook (we have one for our wreath), I have considered suction hooks (not sure it will hold the weight) and those 'Command strip' adhesive type. I've used them for Christmas lights around the kids doors... again not sure on the weight.

so what should we use?

Thanks ya'll :) 13 days to go!

Magnets.

Over the door things are not allowed. Adhesive is not allowed. (Christmas lights are not allowed either FWIW.)

Just so you know. There are hooks in the rooms. How many things are you talking about hanging up?
These are the hooks in the room on the Fantasy:

that's perfect. we only have one bag, maybe 2 to hang.. thanks :)

I think... I've reached the 'OVERTHINKING' stage of our trip... need to chill..

except battery powered, those are ok
Maybe.

The prohibited list on the DCL website says:
  • Seasonal and/or celebratory light bulb strings
no specification that "battery operated ones are OK".

Now, do they allow battery operated ones? Generally, yes, but I wouldn't count on it.

Candles are also on the prohibited list but I am confident that battery operated votives are allowed...

Well, those aren't "candles". They'd be more like a flashlight (a separate source of light for seeing).

"Celebratory light bulb strings" are the same thing, whether they are battery operated or plug-in.

We bring strong magnets with hooks that I get from Amazon. We always put some kleenex between the wall and the strong magnet to keep it from scratching the wall.

We too use strong magnets from Home Depot type store. We use thin rubber shelve paper between magnet and ceiling to keep from scratching.

Where do you put these hooks? I've noticed that the door on the inside of the cabin doesn't seem as strong as the outside. Hope that makes sense. Our magnets always slide off the front door when we put them on the inside portion.

The hooks we use for hanging wet suits (over a towel), jackets or other things we hang from the ceiling or a connecting room door on the classic ships or the walls or ceiling on the dream class ships. Again want to note we do use a thin woven rubber shelf liner between the magnet and ceiling / wall / door to ensure there is no scratching.
