Best rides to go on at night?

Agree with BTMR, ToT is a must and we love to do the Swiss Family Robinson Treehouse. Seems not so many people do it at night and you can go slow and the view of the park is great.

I love all the suggestions others have made. I have always sworn, though, that Pirates is actually darker at night and has a slightly different atmosphere, even though it is indoors.

Test Track, Big Thunder Mountain, The Haunted Mansion(Mostly waiting in the line in the dark is great).

Thunder is awesome at night, it just seems faster and more out of control at night. Also if the timing is right with parades, the ride can be a walk-on. Same thing with Everest, it feels faster in the dark, I miss the evening EMH they used to have. 7DMT was great at night, especially when it only has 10 minute wait before park closing.

I'll also say Haunted Mansion and Pirates. Coming out of the blinding Florida sun, my eyes need time to adjust. Riding those at night, I can make out more details.

Haunted Mansion - nighttime adds to the feel of the attraction
Swiss Family Robinson Treehouse - great view of the park
Tower of Terror - great (brief) views of Hollywood Studios from a nice elevation
Tomorrowland Speedway - I don't know why, but I've just always liked this one better at night
Astro Orbiter - another great nighttime view with elevation

I love TOT at night!! It adds to the "spookiness" of the ride and like someone else mentioned - I love the view you get of HS at the top! We also rode BTMR at night last summer, it happened to be during Wishes- very cool!! Feels like a whole different experience at night! And last but certainly not least, you can't go to MK at night without riding HM!! So fun

I'll second the vote for Mt Everest at night. We were there last fall when AK was open at night and were able to ride walk on with no wait over and over. Can't wait for everything to be finished at AK so that it is open after dark on a regular basis.

Mine Ride -- was a totally different experience for us, but maybe because it was the 2nd time riding it. It was very pretty in the evening.

I personally think that any ride that goes outside is better at dark! There is something magical about Disney at dark! Definitely try Splash at night, its the best!

And POTC. It was the first ride I rode in MK and approaching it in the dark and riding was great. We went right back on...then got stuck for 20 mins.
