We will be staying from Nov 19-25 2016... and we have party of 8. Which restaurants are best for accommodating this group? And WHY? I know 8 is not really a LARGE party I have previously been with 11 and it was a tight squeeze...

Biergarten. People sometimes complain because they have to sit with people they don't know, as the tables seat 8.

The boathouse, raglan road, artist point, Olivia's. All of these would be fine. Almost any restaurant will work with sufficient notice.

I'll let you know when I get back in a couple of weeks! :-)

I was surprised to see how easy it was to make reservations of this size though - we even had BOG options. The only note that I have so far is that you have to call Narcoosee's directly, and I think they'll only take you early in the evening.

We are a party of 8 and also had no problems getting ADR's of our choice at 180 days out for our trip this June (3rd-10th). We booked Morimoto, Blue Zoo, Crystal Palace (8 am breakfast), Artist Point, Jiko, Yak & Yeti, Citricos, BOG (lunch), California Grill and 1900 Park Fare (breakfast) with no problems at all at the times we desired. The only challenge we had is as you mentioned with Narcoossee's. Narcoossee's is our favorite and a must do for us; we have always done it our arrival night and during Wishes. This year we had to call the restaurant directly and they only accommodate a larger party at their first seating at 5:30... As much as I wanted a later ADR I'm OK with it, I enjoy Narcoossee's that much.

Thanks a bunch for all your suggestions!! We didn't have any of these restaurants on our Wish list.. But might add them now.. As of now we are looking into Ohana, Crystal Palace, Coral Reef, Yak N Yeti, TRex, and 50's Prime Time..

Word of warning about a large party at Coral Reef...we had a party of 10 and were seated at a rectangular table with curved bench seating in a "c" shape. One side of the table was completely open (that's where the server stood and people walked by - no chairs allowed there). It was impossible to have a conversation as a group. The people on the ends couldn't talk to anyone beside the two people to their right/left. The people in the middle of the "c" could only talk to each other. Plus, you had to turn your head a good 90 degrees to talk to anyone. It was awkward and not enjoyable.
