Best restaurants for kids visiting WDW for first time

Teppanyaki restaurants exist almost everywhere. I don't think this is really a Disney specific must do.

You are correct, it is not a Wallyworld specific must do. It is, however, a fun, non princess themed intro into Teppanyaki that a 7 and 4 yr old might really enjoy on their first visit.

Daughters are 7 and 4. They are still in the princess phase so I do have reservations at CRT and Storybook. That may be all the princess themed meals mom and dad can handle.

What are other restaurants would you consider "must-dos" for kids this age?

hi! Yay that will be so fun bringing them for the first time. I’d say chef mickeys is the quintessential Disney character meal. Really fun to take the monorail and eat with Mickey and all the main characters. Good buffet for breakfast or lunch in my opinion (saves a few bucks too). Alternatively, cape may cafe is good for those characters also and the buffet is maybe even a little better

for princesses, you could look into the non voyage breakfast at boardwalk. Good food and you see Ariel and rapunzel and their respective male counterparts. It’s fun if you are staying in that area. Akershus in Epcot also has a million princesses for breakfast too.

We really like 'Ohana for breakfast with Stitch, Lilo, Mickey, and Pluto outside. The food is good, the Polynesian is such a great atmosphere, and nothing beats seeing Mickey.

OMG - Mickey in a Hawaiian shirt! Gotta love it!

I would also mention San Angel Inn in Mexico. The little boat ride is fun to do, and also fun to watch the boats go by while you eat. Beautiful restaurant!

I have been taking my daughter to DisneyWorld since she was 3 (15 now...enjoy the time with your little ones!) I posed this question to her, and she gave the following feedback :) Tusker House (Definitely) for Breakfast in AK if you want another character meal. We LOVE the Garden Grill in the Land Pavilion in EPCOT for dinner, also a character meal. Non-characters my daughter LOVES lunch at Sci-Fi or 50's Prime Time and always has enjoyed T-Rex at Disney Springs! Hope you have a GREAT time!

We really enjoyed the Tusker House at animal kingdom, great way to start the day at the park.

Tusker House for the latest breakfast reservation you can get (we did 10:45). They will bring lunch items out while you are still there so you get a wide selection of dishes at the breakfast prices. It was our family's favorite restaurant and we did CRT breakfast, 'Ohana breakfast and BOG for dinner. While those were great, everyone preferred the TH food and experience. The characters are in safari gear and they all came to each table for photos.
