Hoping for some advice - please. My daughter will be turning 21 while we are at WDW. She and her sister (22) will be enjoying EPCOT :drinking1, but I was looking for a fun restaurant, with a bar, to celebrate her 21st birthday as a family. We will have a car, so it doesn't necessarily have to be on property... Any advice or direction would be greatly appreciated!

Trader Sams at the poly is very fun...then you could also do a monorail bar crawl throughout the hotels on the loop.

You didn't say when you are going but the new planet Hollywood is scheduled to open this week. That might be fun. Must make reservations through open table

Acrabar is cute and next to FF. Bluezoo has a fantastic bar. Trader Sam's is fun. CG can craft a decent cocktail. Il Muliano does some fun stuff with limoncello. So many awesome choices.

Our DD's turned 21 just before our trip last summer. We didn't do a "formal" dinner for their birthday, but did go to Tutto Gusto, which ended up being a great choice! No reservation needed, stopped in and ordered apps and small pasta plates. The girls had their first wine flights which they thought was very cool and classy.

Here's another vote for Trader Sam's...inside is where the real magic happens!

Watch here! Enjoy.

One other thing: you mentioned that she turns 21 while you are there. Does she have a passport? I'm not sure how state ID works where you live, but in MA the Jr. Operator license expires on their 21st birthday. (or something like that!) If everything at the Registry had worked perfectly, they may have had their ID's in time for our trip, but we didn't want to risk it. We got them the passport ID cards.

I would think a trip to Jellyrolls and Atlantic Dance Hall would be appropriate.

1) Alas, no "eats" at Jelly Rolls, but yes, it is a good choice for the evening celebration.
2) For dinner, I would suggest Hoop-Dee-Do-Review.
. . . fun dinner
. . . good music and show
. . . unlimited beer-wine-sangria (repeat, unlimited)

As others have said, I 100% agree that a trip to Jelly Rolls is a MUST (after dinner of course)

Personally, I love the bar at the Yacht Club, the Crew's Cup Lounge! You could go there for dinner & a few drinks and than venture over to Jelly Rolls after. I believe Jelly Rolls opens at 7? (Don't Quote Me on That Tho)

Depends if you want it a little more wild or a little more relaxed. If you are thinking on the wilder side, Trader Sams is probably my pick, though Splittsville could be fun as well. If you want it a little more on the relaxed side, Possibly California Grille, Crews Cup as mentioned above is a laid back atmosphere with very good food, or even the Wave which has a cool lounge area.

I wouldn't limit yourself to just a restaurant~ like the pps have said, there are so many good bars independent of restaurants. You could easliy go to a bar and then travel to a restaurant that everyone would enjoy. My DS was 21 on our recent trip and his absolute favorite was Trader Sam's. So much fun! Another favoite of his was Jock Lindsay's Hangar Bar in Disney Springs, very fun theming there too! As someone else mentioned, Abracadabar at the Boardwalk is also another really cool spot. These are fun and unique spots that you won't find anywhere else!

Unlimited Yuengling to someone that can't get it in their area quite possibly is the 8th Wonder of the World! pirate: Just made our ressies to hit it in early May!

I agree with Abracadabar on BW, we did it before dinner at FF and actually kind of hated leaving the bar. We also love Nomad Bar in AK. I had done it solo on a trip earlier and ate there but last trip my son and I went there before dinner at Tiffins. Again, loved it and hated to leave but thankfully we made our dinner reservation as close to park close as is possible so the bar was closing anyway. We also love the wine bar in Italy in Epcot. Did that too this last trip, my son and I both got a different wine flight and tasted each others and got a couple of different food plates. The staff were very pleasant and helpful and the food was excellent. It's a favorite of ours and we do it just about every time we are there.

Since they are doing the Epcot thing I would suggest San Angel with a special stop at La Cava Del Tequilla. The variety of specialty drinks is amazing and the flavors will be something they have never (legally) tried before. The Avocado Margarita is amazing. I would focus on quality and flavor rather than quantity of adult beverages consumed.

The Biergarten. You will be seated with others at the table but the music and the atmosphere is great for a celebration. And, you can get any leftover drinks "to go" before you leave.

Unlimited Yuengling to someone that can't get it in their area

1) Oh.
2) Bummer.
3) The beer is Bud or Bud Light, so I stick with the VERY GOOD sangria.
4) However, Yuengling is available at almost any grocery store, including Publix, in the area.
5) there are lots of tourists, transplants, and snow birds, so stores try to cater to most/all of their tastes.
6) I have to buy it for one of the guys in our gang, it is about $8.10 (after tax) for a 12-pack. *

* There are four of us retired guys that hang together, and we normally stock the fridge in the Man-Cave or Man-Cage (screened lanai) with the fav brew of each. We are also members of ROMEO (Real Old Men Eating Out) which meet at various nearby restaurants..

Man that is a bummer. Says here on Deb's menu that they have draft Yuengling too. http://allears.net/dining/menu/pioneer-hall/hoop-dee-doo

Oh well, draft Bud light is what I drink anytime I am drinking for the long haul anyways. Will definitely have to buy Yuengling elsewhere though!

We just had a fabulous lunch at Art Smith's Homecoming. There is a fairly large bar right in the middle of the restaurant if you wanted to sit and have a pre-meal drink before an ADR. The cocktails were fun and imaginative also. I wouldn't necessarily call it a "super cool" atmosphere but it was very good. We walked in and checked out Jock Lindsay's Hangar Bar which looks like it could have a fun atmosphere but doesn't have a large food menu. It was dead at lunch time on December 22nd, so I don't know what it's like later in the day. I also love the look and feel of Victoria Falls lounge at Animal Kingdom Lodge but it was also pretty dead when we were there in the evening. But you could do a pre-dinner drink before a meal. Also Mizner's lounge at the Grand Floridian is nice and has the bonus of the band in the evening, although maybe not the kind of music a 21 year old would enjoy!
