Best restaurant for wines??

We will be at WDW this January for my DH's 30th b-day. He loves good wine and I would like to make sure we get PS's at restaurants where he can enjoy a variety of wines to choose from. Thanks.

If you would like to try something a little different, Jiko has fantastic South African wines. Perhaps you are very knowlegable of wines, and this is not something different. Anyway, my wife and I have a great time sampling the SA grapes, even though we are far from connoisseurs.
The Slaley shiraz is our favorite, and we now buy it buy the case here in Connecticut!

or at least options that I can suggest. There are a lot of good places for wines, a few suggestions:

1: JIKO - I agree with the other post, I love South African wines - PINOTAGES are a nice change of pace from Cab Sav.

2: California Grile - a lot of excellent wines sold by the glass. A flight of wines here would be fantastic, time it right and you might be able to enjoy the MK Fireworks as well.

3: Bistro in EPCOT - good French wines can be found, beware some are not as good as one may expect.

4: Flying fish - nice selection of wines by bottle and glass

5: Yachtsman Steak House - a very nice wine selection, you can usually find a nice BIG Cab to go with a great steak.

6: BOMA - a different meal to enjoy your wines. Do a flight of different wines to match the variety of food on the buffet.

7: Artist Point - they have a nice variety of Northwest - Oregon, Washington wines. Pinot Noirs from this region can be excellent.


As wine prices go most WDW establishments do a moderate to expensive mark-up, so do a little research before you go. We have found some good deals and some over price wines in outr travels. good luck and good eating.

As the other posters mentioned, WDW has some really good choices to sample some fine wines. Jiko would definitely get the vote for trying something different. Worth a visit.

AS you can see there are some wonderful spots--to which I'd add Citrico's.
You may be interested in knowing that at California Grill, nearly every bottle of wine they have is also available by the glass, at 1/4 the bottle price. THis greatly expands your "by the glass" choices.

We have to go with Jiko and Artist Point also...some of our favorites, and they are wonderful at pairing in both restuarants.

And...to top it all off the food is wonderful, making the whole experience excellent!

Palio has a nice wine list, emphasis is on Italian but includes some other fine wines also.

Another vote for Jiko, the Faithful Hound Shiraz was the best I've ever had and a wonderful compliment to the Tenderloin.

I'll second the California Grill - it is really nice that you can order just about any variety they offer by the glass. A great way to try something different without having to step out for the whole bottle. I'll also second Yachtsman Steakhouse, they have a great wine list.

I'll also add Spoodles - although not as extensive as the previously mentioned two, they do have some nice selections.

I might also mention; try having a glass at The Belle Vue Room - just off the lobby in the Boardwalk Inn. Cozy litlle place - not an extensive selection but some nice bottles to choose from. Also there is Martha's Vineyard over at the Beach Club - drop in for a glass before dinner at The Yachtsman.
