Best Restaurant for Romantic Date Night?

So on our next trip back to the World, we're planning on letting our DD do a night at the Cub's Den at the WL while we head out for a romantic meal alone.

So what is the best restaurant for an evening alone? We've done Cali Grill, not really wanting to do that one again. Also, we don't want to do a park restaurant, would rather hit one at a resort or DTD. I've thought about Flying Fish...we loved that last time...or Narcoosee's. What do you guys suggest? We'll be staying at the WL and won't have a car, but I don't mind taking buses or a taxi, but want to stay on property.

Thanks!
Kristi

We will be celebrating our 25th Anni. on our trip and have ressie for Narcoossee during Wishes.

We'll be celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary this year also. Narcossees is a great place, but I'm going all out and trying Victoria and Alberts for the first time.

I would consider Citricos. We ate there for the first time last month. Excellent food and service, and (I think) a much quieter and romantic restaurant than, say, California Grill or Flying Fish.

If your idea of a romantic night "out" also includes some alone time in your resort room, Artist's Point is right there at the WL and has some fab food.........

Narcoosees at GF, Jiko at AKL, and the Yachtsmans Steakhouse at the YC are all good choices in my book. :)

If you aren't limited by budget (or the DDP) I would suggest Victoria & Albert's for the ultimate date night.

Jiko is another adult favorite in our family, and they do accept the dining plan.

Narcoosees and Citricos are both lovely, with excellent food and service. We are splurging this year and treating ourselves to Victoria and Albert's for the first time.

Hope you enjoy whatever restaurant you choose!

Artist Point is at the Wilderness Lodge and a window table at night is very romantic!

This is a great thread for me too, because we're staying at the WL and my friend said she'd watch our boys for us one night so my DH and I can have a night out. We're on the dining plan, so V&A is out. I was considering Flying Fish, but now I'm going to check out Narcoossee's. The Artist Palette sounds nice, but if we dine in the resort we're staying at, I'll feel more obligated to be "on call" if you know what I mean.

Could always do something special on the Grand 1 Yacht. ;)

Costs a bit more, though!

Due to kids and DDP, there are few truly romantic eateries at WDW.
. . . for WDW-owned, V&A qualifies.
. . . for non-WDW owned, Bistro de Paris and Shula's qualify,

Hands down, Narcoosee's is IMO the most romantic restaurant in WDW. The views of the Magic Kingdom and Seven Seas Lagoon are breathtaking, the service is outstanding, you can watch Wishes, and the food is incredible. My fiance and I just got back, and had our last vacation dinner at Narcoosee's. Well worth it!

I love lobster, so Narcosse's was high on my list. If you love steak, the oak grilled filet at Jikos is wonderful, and it is romantic to go out and view the animals on the savannah, hand in hand. and the indoor waterfall? bar is very romantic for a before dinner drink.(but narcosse's would be more convenient for you) and if you time it right, at narcosse's you could go out and view wishes, and then the electrical water pagaent.

Narcoossee during Wishes! If I ever get a great boyfriend I hope that he proposes to me at Narcossees during Wishes. Thats my romantic dream :)

I had a not great experience at Naracoosees, (excuse me if I've spelled it wrong), I have kids, but I left them so I could have a date. these kids ran all over the restaurant. sigh. I paid lots of money for those kids to be running all over. oh well.
we are planning the California Grill this time. I have a hot mom dress with cleavage and sparkles, is that too much for that place? :)

:rotfl:

When we were at the California Grill last month, there were people in suits and evening gowns, and people in shorts and t-shirts. So I think anything goes.
