Thinking we'll have dinner one night at EPCOT.
Any recommendations? My boys will be 7 and 4.

Garden Grill is a good choice, as it is a character dinner. it's located in the land at EPCOT. the food is served family style, so everyone in your family should be able to find something they like. ::yes:: Also, if your children are outgoing and enjoy dancing and music, Germany (Biergarten) could be a good choice as well. The dinner includes a show put on by German musicians; etc., and you can even go down on the floor and dance. my brother and i loved this when we were young! Germany didn't have our favorite food (my mom, for example, isn't big on German sausage; etc.), but who knows, maybe you'll love it. got to wdwinfo.com, and on the left hand side under disney dining, click on menus. this way you can take a look at all the restaurants at EPCOT and see if there is something that interests you. :thumbsup2 good luck choosing a place to eat!

We're planning on Teppen Edo with DD7 (almost eight) and DS3 (almost four) in October. The food prep itself is entertainment.

I thought Garden Grill stopped being a character meal when LTT did? :confused3 It's still fun though because it rotates through The Land.

I agree with Teppan Edo, it is entertaining and my kids actually eat the food. DS6 even ate some of my onions last trip because he liked the dipping sauces so much he cleaned his plate and wanted more. He won't go near onions anywhere else... I love the food there too...

Remy makes appearances during certain hours at Chefs de France, and the food is really good.

Coral Reef is awesome and the food is great. The kids love seeing the sharks swim by while they're eating.

Garden Grill is still a character meal at dinner. They don't have characters for lunch anymore.

My sis did Teppen Edo with her 3 kids(11, 5, 3), and they had a great time. The kids loved it and the servers and cooks taught the kids to eat with chop sticks <-- Don't know about anyone else but my son can't get the concept of chop sticks but hers get eat with them great!

We did Garden Grill last time and it was our fav. character meal. We are doing it again next month. It's our only scheduled sit down meal. Chip, Dale, Pluto, and Mickey are there.

We went to the coral reef and it is not cheap. Which was fine but I guess for lunch I was expecting to spend that much and I didn't look on the map at how many $$ it was. Then when we were walking out they have a menu posted with prices and we never even noticed. The kids did like it. Only we were not close to the tank so we didn't really see the sharks swim around.

If you have free dining I say Teppan Edo. It's like a Bennihana's where they cook the food in front of you on the hot plate. They really make a show of it and the kids have a blast!

Coral Reef is ok, if you don't sit near the windows it's not as much fun, Garden grill is also ok, it does have characters, but it is a spinning restaurant and some people get motion sick (my sister did).

We also like Beirgarten, which is buffet style and usually has the mac and cheese and pizza that other buffets have in case you have picky eaters.

Agree, Teppan Edo is lots of fun. Now if your kids like to get up and move around at dinner, you might consider the Biergarten. They have entertainment where the kids can come down on the floor to dance, etc.

So, if your kids need to move around ... Biergarten. If they are good at sitting at a table, then Teppan Edo. Either is going to be fun for all involved. The Biergarten is buffet and with the entertainment can be a bit more "festive" in atmosphere.

I would also vote for Teppen Edo or Coral Reef, though my kids love steak so thier favorite place is LeCellier;)

DD loves Akershus lunch/dinner for the Princesses (We really like the food too). I would also recommend Teppan Edo. Our whole family loves it! My DS just wishes that they had steak on the children's menu!

Thanks for the run-down on the characters! We all love Pluto! :)

Garden Grill is very tasty and has great character interaction. They are only open for dinner.Coral reef has a great setting, but can be pricy and the food is so so. In WS we like Marrakesh( good food and a bellydancer) Biergarten (good buffet and a band) Les Chefs de france is good food, and Remy from Ratatouille makes an appearance at certain times of day (not on Sundays).

Years ago I ate at the Italian sit down resturant ( don't know name) and they let me order a half sized meal for me. My daughter got something she enjoyed off the children's menu. It wasn't too much food, and we both enjoyed it.

I'm going to go with Entertaining the children. Biergarten and Marrakesh. The food is a little more exotic ( though biergarten has schnitzel, which is pretty much big chicken nuggets :) ), but Biergarten has a dance floor with a German band and Marrakesh has a small area where the kids are encouraged to dance with the band and belly dancers. Lots of fun.
