We will have my MIL on our upcoming trip to Universal. DH and I would like a night out for dinner and then maybe to City Walk sans kids :cool1:. We haven't been to Universal in 10 years and before kids. At the time we went to Emeril's on City Walk and it was good (but nothing compared to NOLA and Delmonico's in New Orleans.) We have The Palm here in DC so that is not an option.

Thinking of trying Tchoup Chop.

We are foodies. We love rare steaks, fish, seafood, wine, and DH loves sushi.

Any other ideas instead? What places are nice for drinks afterwards. We are in our late 30's although DH likes to think he is still 25 most of the time. :)

I'm going to move this over to the main board so you can get more responses.

Orchids lounge in RP does lovely sushi.

It is very casual though, more like sitting in a lounge area.....whis is what it is really!!! Don`t know what I meant there :confused3

Food is very good though. And they have a lovely wine selection and good cocktails too.

I am very much in the minority as we didn`t think Tchoup Chop was as good
as had been made out to be. But like I said I think I may be in a minority of one.

Not a fan of HRC or Bubba Gumps either.

In Citywalk we love margaritaville, it has a great atmosphere and food is lush. I got a lovely very rare steak there. Even Dh who likes a medium rare steak didn`t really want to look at it

Can`t help with after your meal as we have a 17 yr old son.....so no clubs or bars.....yet!!!!

Tchoup Chop will be right up your alley. Do yourself a favor and head over there. They have sushi and plenty of pan-asian cuisine to satisfy anyone. The serice is impeccable and the decor matches it. It's also MUCH cheaper than Emeril's on City Walk.

Once you're done with dinner take the boat/drive/walk over to the Hard Rock Hotel and have drinks at Velvet Lounge. You won't regret it. In fact, you're making me jealous, because that's exactly what I'd do.

We aren't big Tchoup Chop fans either. I found the flavours to be very strong. I liked Emeril's other restaurant better.

OP, check out the menus in the food sticky. Maybe that will help. Take a look at Bice at Portofino.
