Best Restaurant for food and Illuminations?

Hey, what restaurant has really good food and a view of illuminations where you wont see people standing in front of you? i want to see if i can get a seat for the last day for viewing illuminations while eating. (Never done that before).

How good of a chance do you really have of getting an outdoor seat.....and what time do you need to have ressies for to get it?? Any idea?

But patio table seating is a request only and not guaranteed. They no longer allow you to wait for a patio table. You need to accept the table offered or forfeit your ADR.
There is however a private outdoor viewing space for R & C quests< Your server will escort you out. There may, however, be someone standing in front of you.
The only way to guarantee that no one is standing in front of you is to stake a spot on the lagoon way ahead of time

There are no guarentees.
I have reservations there for 8pm on a night that Illuminations are at 9pm. My plan is to get there about 30 minutes early, and ask for an outdoor table, and say that we are willing to wait. There is no guarentee, but we will see what happens.
8pm was the only time I could get - if I were you, I'd try to get reservations for 7:30 and plan on getting there early.
Having said all that, even if you get an indoor seat, if you are still there when the show starts, you can go out to their private view area. No, its not sitting at your table, but its better than nothing.

Knowing our luck, we wont be able to see illuminations...
we also don't like eating late because we don't like to go to sleep on a full stomach when you can eat early and walk some of it off.

Even though I really want to see illuminations i don't think i will like eating late.

I agree that R&C is the best bet, but you can read about my ordeal on this link. Something I failed to mention in the thread below...we really enjoyed the food and with the exception of the illuminations/patio tables ordeal- the service was excellent.

The new Mexican resturant Le Hacienda also has good views people move around the resturant and they dim the lights and I am almost sure they played the music.

An oft overlooked option: Tokyo Dining at the Japan Pavilion offers some killer views of Illuminations.
