I turn 30 in October, and am celebrating with a trip to WDW. Since Epcot is my favorite park and I'm staying at the Boardwalk, I want to have a nice dinner somewhere in the Boardwalk/Epcot area. For the life of me, I can't make up my mind where I want to eat! I'm hoping my DIS friends will be able to make recommendations. Just a little background info about me: I don't eat red meat, and my lunch that day will be a 'tour' of the F&W booths, so I don't want to repeat that for dinner. Please tell me where you'd eat and why!

Thanks for the link to the F&WF info! That'll defininately help with my lunch 'planning.' The question is, though, where should I eat for dinner? I know I'll be doing F&WF for lunch.

If there was any possible way of getting the outdoor patio at the Rose and Crown I would say to finish your day of F&W Fest. on the patio watching Illuninations. But you can only ask for the outdoor patio when you check in to the restaurant and we are 1 for 3 in getting that. If you make ADR's for 7:40-8 this puts you at dessert time for Illuminations and even if you are at a inside table they have a patio area they take you out to watch Illuminations. The view from the Rose & Crown of Illuminations in my opinion is the best.
At the F & W Samual Adams booth try the crab cakes they are very good. Maybe we will see you there in October if we get the pin for the free DDP.

Thanks for the suggestion! I've eaten at Rose and Crown before, and wasn't overly impressed with the food, but I wouldn't be opposed to eating there again. Any other suggestions? I'm leaning towards Flying Fish; any opinions on this?

I ate at Chefs de France last New Year's Eve and felt very rushed. I hope it was just the night. Just like Rose and Crown, I'd be willing to give Chefs de France another shot, but I'm looking for something 'new.' I'm thinking either Flying Fish or Le Cellier. Any opinions between the two?

You can't go wrong with Le Cellier other then you may be sitted almost on someone elses lap at the next table if you are at a wall table, but for us the mushroom steak is well worth it but you can't eat the steak so I don't know, that is why I first mentioned Rose and Crown, not the best of food but we were never crowded in and wanted the best view of Illuminations. If you decide on the Flying Fish let us know how that was we never ate there.

It really depends on the type of person you are and who is going. For a big party type atmosphere for adults, I'd say go to Raglan Road after the band starts (after 8PM). But that's in DTD.

Le Cellier is always good for a nice place to eat in Epcot. Not really a party atmosphere, though.

Try "Flying Fish" on the Boardwalk. If you are on DDP it is a 2 point table service meal. We went there for dinner on Christmas Day 2007 and it was a nice upscale environment.

I'd try Flying Fish (at BW), Il Mulino (at Swan) or bluezoo (at Dolphin). All are fine dining establishments that would be great for a b-day celebration.

Flying Fish is a good choice. We always have a great time there -- we prefer to eat at either the show bar (where the prep chefs are working on the food, fun to watch) or the high bar, where you are served by the bar tender. It's fun to watch the activity in the show kitchen.

Also consider Kimonos at the Swan if you like sushi and tempura...can be very fun. Kareoke after 9:30. Good food and great service. Relaxed environment. BlueZoo (Dolphin) is also good, with lots of fish options. Fancier than Kimonos by far -- about on par with Flying Fish. Their menus are at swandolphin.com

Happy Birthday in advance!!

I've pretty much narrowed it down to either Le Cellier or Flying Fish. Been to Le Cellier once years ago for lunch and was very pleased with my meal (had salmon). Never been to Flying Fish. To those of you that have eaten at both, what would you choose and why?

Happy Birthday!!

I will be in WDW in 4 weeks for my 30th B-Day. I am having my birthday dinner at Cali Grill. I would highly recommend that.
