Best restaurant at Downtown Disney?

If wanting a table service another vote for Raglan from me!!! If a quick service then WPE! Have a great trip!

QS and almost a TS. WPE the downtown one. Food is great and they serve you. Kinda an upscale QS. We love RFC and Trex. Most of the time we sit at the bar and get apps and drinks. Nogo for preggers! Lol. But entrees are good too. We had the best steak of the trip at RFC in Nov. And we went to MMs,( which was also really good) CR, Wave and sci fi. Paradiso is good too. Went a week ago and DS27 had the best filet ever. BUT...it us only offered in the 3 course meal and was $35. He wasn't thrilled with the other courses. But with our TiW card it helped bring the price down.

I can't wait to try Raglan on this trip- sounds like my kind of place. I've heard mention of Earl of Sandwich a lot, is it worth all the mentions I've heard/seen of it? Don't think I've ever eaten anywhere at DTD.

We love Raglan Road and will be heading for DD for dinner there next week! We have a Rainforest Cafe here as well as a Planet Hollywood and House of Blues so those don't appeal to us when we are at WDW. Raglan Road has great food (and yes the bread pudding is to die for!) but the atmosphere is great fun as well. The music and the dancing is awesome! :)

We love Raglin Road, never have had a bad meal there. The scallop forest appetizer is amazing!!

??????????

I think it really depends on the atomosphere and type of food you want. Fultons is amazing, but its a bit pricier and more upscale. Also in the NE here and seriously Fultons is way better than some of the places Ive had seafood up here.

HOB is awesome, I used to love their shrimp Po Boys, but it can be really noisy especially if there is live music.

RR is good too, if you want that kind of food, very heavy, fried, but good. Again can get noisy depending on time.

WP - we like the actual restaurant better than the Express - more options, a little nicer and quieter. Food is really good, good pizzas and sushi

Rainforest Cafe - is awesome if you have smaller children, but the wait can be long even at lunch. But its more of an experience so its fun, and the food is not bad. I usually get the Veggie Sandwhich they have or a salad and have always been happy

Whatever you do....at all costs....avoid Bongos. Gloria needs to stick to singing. We've gone twice and both times the food is just so so, not really that great and the service SUCKS!!!

??????????

terrible isnt it?

I remember when i started reading the boards and it drove me crazy.

QS- Quick Service or a meal at a counter restraunt.

TIW- Tables card for people who want discounts. (tables in the world)'

WGP Wolf gng Pucks.. express.

there is a dictionary somewhere

What about Portabello? (Sic?) Is that still on DDP too or no?

It was in the DDP this year (2012) and I would guess it'll be on the DDP again next year. It was okay, but not somewhere I would make a point of going to if I only one chance to eat at DTD.

On our trip a couple of weeks ago, we had great meals at Portobello and Raglan Road. WE also had the meatloaf and the vanilla bean cheesecake at WPE Marketplace and it was voted the best CS meal.

TIW-Tables in Wonderland is a discount card Annual passholders, Florida residents and Vacation club members can buy. It cost $100 and you can get 20% off food and alcohol at most of the table service restaurants, lounges and some counter services. For us it is well worth the $$. We are all adults who spend about 30 days a year in WDW. We also enjoy:goodvibes our drinks.

I liked T-Rex had a great meal and the place is very nice as long as you don't mine the noise level. I also vote for WPE as well. Fulton is to high in price for fair food.

:cool1:I am so glad I found this post. I have a ressie for Raglan Road for our Feb. trip and wasn't sure if I made a wise choice..Now I can't wait to try it!

I'd also have to vote for Raglan Road. I try to avoid RFC, T-Rex and HOB because they are chains so not unique to WDW, which I don't like. I also find the food at RFC and T-Rex to be mediocre, and very similar since they are owned by the same parent company.
