Going away for a romantic trip with my husband the first week of November. I know nothing about Disneyland, but would like to know what everyone thinks is the best and most romantic restuarant at Disneyland. Can I make priority seating like you do at Disney World?

Thanks!

Yes you can make a PS, but only 60 days out. (No worries though....in many ways DLR is NOT like WDW.)

Feely, if you're a WDW VET & DLR newbie, check out this link for some good background info.....& then read the rest of HG's tip threads. Have a great time planning a visit to Walt's Park!

DH and I recently had our anniversary dinner at Steakhouse 55 in the Disneyland Hotel. It was very nice. We made priority seatings and also mentioned it was our anniversary and they brought us a anniversary desset to share with candles on it. Our waiter took our picture of us together at the table. It was great. Haven't eaten at Napa rose but the restaraunt is beautiful. Have fun!

You can't go wrong with either Napa or Steakhouse 55. Both are designed for a more adult and personal experience.

That being said, the Napa is our favorite for the variety. We do find it is an incredible amount of food, so for the sake of our stomachs and (if need be, our wallets), we often with get a couple starters and salads and then do a split on the entree. They have no problems at all offering splits on most of their things if you would both like a taste, but prefer your own plate! There were times we weren't quite as hungry and split the Vintner's Tasting Menu.

Another romantic place (but I'd go there for lunch--it's cheaper) is the Blue Bayou. It's inside the Pirates of the Caribbean Ride (giving you an outside in the dark feeling when you're really inside--sort of like the restaurant inside of Mexico at Epcot). It's great to sit at a waterside table with fireflies buzzing and the sounds of water and the banjo-player at the beginning of the ride.

Blue Bayou has the best ambiance of all the places I've been. Spendy, but the food was really yummy and you do get soup or salad with your meal. Make PS, but then get there early and request a waterside table. IT's worth the wait.

Blue Bayou is by far the most "Disney" dining experience in terms of great theming and a beautiful setting. While it is spendy and the food reviews are pretty mixed, if you are looking for a great experience that is unforgettable and uniquely Disneyland, it is a must see. One great way of seeing it is to make a mid-afternoon or late night reservation for dessert only and split a cookie boat. It is a pirate ship complete with pastiage (sp?) pressed sugar mast and sails. It is huge and will definitely serve 2 quite easily!

My DH and I also enjoy the ambiance of Storytellers. While it is not as high end as Napa Rose, it is a warm and comfortable environment that is totally in the vein of the Grand Californian Hotel where it is located. For dinner you have your choice of ordering from a menu or partaking in the buffet, which for a price around $29 a person is a steal considering it normally has prime rib or steak, salmon, and numerous other delicious options. I also really enjoy the corn chowder that you can get ala carte from the menu or from the buffet.
