Hi guys  I was wondering if anyone had recommendations on restaurants that can prepare dishes for a vegan. Usually I just get a pretty plain salad but i've heard Disney is very helpful with dining. Thanks!

Teppan Edo in Japan has an excellent veggie dish that is easily made vegan, just tell the chef and they will cook your food in something other than butter. I will note, though, that this is a restaurant where you are seated with others at a big table and the food is cooked on a grill in front of you, so you do have to see everyone else's meat being cooked. It depends on how you feel about that. However, the chef does make any vegetarian/vegan dishes first on the clean grill. I'm vegetarian and I have no problem finding anything, and I imagine there are lots of things that can be made vegan.

Thanks for the suggestions! I'm assuming that every restaurant will have at least one vegetarian dish that can probably be tweaked to be made vegan. Thanks :) I don't mind seeing others eating it, I just don't want to eat it myself

Hi, Allears.net has a list of restaurants (CS and TS) that serve vegetarian/vegan items - and for CS they state which items are vegan or can be made vegan and how. Just look under Dining then special dietary needs. There are several sections for vegetarians/vegans. :thumbsup2

We went to WDW a couple of years back with my brother's family who are all vegan (including their two children who I think were 7 and 9 at the time).

While they found options on most menus we also made sure to let mention it on the reservation when we made them and at all of the table service restaurants the chef came out and reviewed their options, discussed what they like, and then put together entrees for them.

At Norway they even went out and found deserts for the girls since there was nothing vegan on the menu. They got popsicles from one of the carts. :)

At 1900 Park Fare fore breakfast they walked them through the buffet and pointed out all the foods that were vegan and then made them a special order of vegan pancakes as well.

We were very pleased with the service we received all in all.

Wow that sound amazing. I had no idea they would go to such lengths! That's so cool :)

Boma should also be good as I hear the chefs really do accommodate special dietry/food requirements.

Claire ;)
