You will get so many opinions on this board as to the best resort. Everyone is loyal to their home resort. Otherwise they wouldn't have purchased there. Anyway, all of the DVC resorts have good and bad aspects depending on what you are looking for. Closeness to certain parks, pool configuration, long hallways, outside hallways, parking, room service, and the list goes on and on. IMHO you can't go wrong with any of the DVC resorts. We have stayed in several of them on property and Vero Beach. We are looking forward to staying at Hilton Head in the future. Just listen to what people have to say and then throw out half the good comments and half the bad and then make your own decision. You can find out lots of good information here, but sometimes we all go overboard with our opinions.
Good Luck and Hope you soon hear Welcome Home from everyone here on the DIS. They will make you feel right at home.
I would disagree with this regarding this particular party--3 year olds and 7 year olds may not care about being close to Epcot and Downtown Disney...every family will have different things they are looking for...please read my other post on your other thread for more details...
They all have great pools. They all have first-class accommodations. They all have convenient transportation to the theme parks.
I wouldn't be so bold to recommend any one over another for you without knowing your personal likes and dislikes. Look at photos and descriptions of the properties. Whichever one makes you say "wow, that looks cool!" is the "best resort" for you.
..... They all have convenient transportation to the theme parks.
.....
Not sure the BWV tenants would agree with this statement..even since the changes have been made I am reading recent trip reports that BLAST the transportation at this resort for the same problems we have been hearing about for years....

"Convenient" is certainly open to interpretation, but the point was basically that you don't have to have your own rental car to get around. Transportation is provided, and it's convenient to the extent that you only have a walk couple of minutes to a bus stop or boat dock to utilize.
Modes of transportation between individual resorts and theme parks are what they are. The perceived quality of that transportation will certainly vary from one guest to the next and one trip to the next.
Aside from that, I'm in the midst of a 30-day self-imposed ban on debating the merits of one form of transportation over another, one resort over another. I'll leave the in-depth comparisons to others.

Yes, but i am doing my community service imposed on me by the BWV owners in spreading the word that the BWV are a terrible resort that is unfit for reservations and no one should even try to stay there because it is so awful...this is especially true during the Flower and Garden and Food Festivals and the first two weeks of Decemeber...but really anytime...stay away from the BWV...
