The Tonga Toast at Kona Cafe.

We did try Ohana breakfast last trip and really enjoyed it. Our server kept us well stocked with pineapple bread, which was fabulous. And we are big on character meals. Saves time standing in autograph lines in the park.

The Wave and Kona Cafe. As for The Wave, I never knew I could LOVE grits. They have grits with Nueske's bacon and cheddar cheese. They are incredible (and must be loaded with butter as well but you only live once.)

I can only vouch for Kona... good stuff. But boy do those grits sound good!

I can only vouch for Kona... good stuff. But boy do those grits sound good!

The first time I got them on the side with a spinach/feta/egg entree. I was stuffed. The second time I just ordered the grits and a fruit plate - and I was quite content. The fruit was a nice fresh contrast to the richness of the grits.

DD and I sometimes order the Big Kahuna and the fruit plate at Kona and share both. This is a really nice combination if you have someone to share with. And Kona's fruit plate is really a step up from the Wave's. A hollowed out half pineapple with a nice variety of fruit and I believe, a banana muffin.

Ohana breakfast with Lilo & Stich is very good. They serve you family style not buffet so it's very relaxing and Kona is also very good. You can't go wrong at the Poly.

Wow I a lot of love for Kona. What are the breakfast hours for the Kona Cafe? We are staying at CBR with a rental car & we like to have one special breakfast during the week. We are considering Boma's or Kona's ( now that I see all the positive responses). Do we need ADRs for Kona?

We went to Boma for the first time in August, and it was amazing!! We went back a second time a few days later we like it so much. Tried The Wave for the first time too, and it was delicious also. It's been a few years since we ate at Kona, but I do have to say that it was a great breakfast too. Enjoy!!

Yes, you will need ADR's for Kona. We went twice last month (we had ADR's) and had to wait about 20 minutes each time and the restaurant was full the whole time we were there. I think lots more people are finding out about it. Hours for breakfast are 7:30 to 11:15 a.m.

Ohana!!! Love the family style. I have a food allergy so they brought me my own skillet, boyfriend was happy with the amount of food and it's so yummy!! I love the liko liko juice( I think that's what they call it). Having both breakfast and dinner on our upcoming trip can't wait.
