Best RESORT in the World! Final round!

I will vote for Port Orleans Riverside and here's why:

At half the price of a stay at the Poly, you get different or similar perks.

You still get a pool with a water slide
76% the size of a Poly room (314 sq. ft compared to 415 sq. ft)
Gator Tail and Bananas Foster (compared to a Mai Tai and Dole Whip)
One of the largest arcades on a resort
Butterfly garden
Fulton's General store
River Roost Lounge, with Ye-Haw Bob
Muddy Rivers Pool Bar
Carriage rides, surrey bikes, and water boats
River Taxi to Disney Springs
Lobby looks nice, too

Look, I've had just about enough of you using logic, ok?

As the second resort to open on property, the home of Tonga Toast, Macadamia nut pancakes, Monorail and walking distance to the TTC, Trader Sam's, and a favorite spot to see Wishes, Poly should have this. POR has busses to take you to the busses, a boat to take you shopping, and something else. Let me think on this for a bit.

The Disney Vacation Club people (someone who was one of the original DVC realtors in 1991 and still there) told me a little known fact that the Polynesian was actually the first to open in 1971, beating the Contemporary by about 20 minutes, and that VIPs were put there before opening, not over at the Contemporary, so it was also the first to have guests. I wasn't sure about all this, but there seems to be a Palm Beach Post article on the internet that confirms this. (Although maybe they got their info from DVC, lol.)

Poly is the first Hotel; in fact, John Lennon signed the contract ending the Beatles while he was staying there (he was one of those VIPs).

Wow - pretty cool factoids, thanx for sharing!

The tale I was told explained the grand opening/ribbon cutting started at the MK. The execs took the monorail to the Contemporary and had the official opening, then boarded the monorail again to open the Poly 22 minutes later.

edt: it's a nice story, but look up when John signed the paperwork to break up the Beatles. January 29th 1974
