Best Resort in December/Holiday Decorations

I am trying to squeak out a trip in early December. My DD and I have always wanted to see WDW at X-mas with all the holiday decorations and attend MVMCP.

What is the best resort to stay in December to view the holiday decorations and why? I've heard WL is just beautiful during the holiday's but we've been there three times and just this past May. I wish I could say $$$'s weren't an issue or I'd stay at GF (which I am still possibly considering splurging).

I'd appreciate any input and any suggestions on any "must see or do's" to fully appreciate WDW during this season.

All the resort are decorated at Christmas. My favorite is WL.

How about AKL? I haven't been there but have seen pictures of AKL beautifully decorated for Christmas. It had a huge tree in the lobby. I'm hoping to visit there during our December trip - maybe dinner at Boma?!?

I LOVE Animal Kingdom Lodge, but, to me, it just doesn't feel "Christmasy" - even with the huge tree.

My favorite resorts for the holidays are:

1. Wilderness Lodge
2. Boardwalk Inn
3. Grand Floridian

If you have done the WL recently, I would reccomend the Boardwalk Inn. It is so pretty at Christmas. The decorations are beautiful and the chocolate display in the lobby is amazing! Plus, it is so close to Epcot, which is our favorite holiday park. We love all the storytellers in World Showcase, etc.

If you've never seen the WL at Christmas time, make sure you at least visit for dinner or something. It's breathtaking!

I do not have a favourite they are all pretty spectacular all dressed up for X Mas IMHO.

AKL just has a different feel to it. Port Orleans FQ was alot of fun at Christmas. Decorated really nice.

I love the WL at Christmas Time. But I was also enthralled with the decorations at GF, BW & Y/BC....
I never visited the moderates at Christmas time.

We love the WL at Christmas, plus you can take the boat to Contemporary and view their decorations, then take the monorail to Poly and GF to see all their decorations.

Boardwalk is great too. They have that chocolate decoration in the lobby which smells awesome.

Be sure to visit Yatch and Beach clubs too. Amazing decorations.

I've heard WL is just beautiful during the holiday's but we've been there three times and just this past May.

But if you haven't stayed there during the Holiday, then maybe you might want to stay there again to enjoy the Christmas decorations.

We visited WL during the Holiday and it is beautifully decorated. When we walked in to the lobby, we felt that Holiday spirit right away.

I agree with the top picks already posted, but we reallly spend alot of time at Epcot during our stay, so we love the BWI.

Good luck choosing, I would say u can't go wrong with any of them!!

If you want to save some moolah just stay at a mod - like my favorite CSR - and then resort hop to see the other decorations!

Have meals at other resorts and enjoy the decorations while you are there! You could even make a scavenge hunt out of it. Go to each resort and take a pic with your family in front of the main decorative feature! Or collect pins from each resort!

I think that all of WDW is great for the holidays!

Glad to hear it! I was beginning to wonder if French Quarter would look nice at Xmas time. Thanks for the reassurance. (I think most people will agree WL is gorgeous at XMas, (my family liked it), but we also loved CBR at Xmas. Lots of poinsettas of pink and green.

I can't really think of any resort that I don't enjoy at Christmas except for the All Stars. All the resorts seem to have decorations that fit in with each theme. Wish I had time to visit them all in Dec.

GF, WL,BW, all are fantastic at Christmas time.

We stayed at the Dolphin-not an official Disney resort, but still beautiful. The tree in the lobby is incredible. Also, depending on how close you are to Christmas, you may want to make your dining reservations early.
