Best Resort for Cold AC?

Inspired by the thread about hot rooms at AoA suites, I was wondering what everyone's experiences at different resorts with GOOD air conditioning especially in the hot summer months.

I know we stayed at POR 2 years ago in July and no matter what we did we couldn't get the room cold enough for me the first night. We called maintenance and they did something so it did end up getting colder but having the ceiling fan was a huge help. I'm sad they are removing them from the new rooms!

Funny story though (which might explain why the fans are coming out!) on her honeymoon at the old Dixie Landings one of the paddles off the ceiling fan in my friend's room came flying off in the middle of the night! Thankfully no one was hurt but its made me cautious about the fans ever since! I still use them though just never on super high speed:)

We have only ever stayed at deluxe resorts, but have never, ever had problems keeping a room cool, and that's coming from a person who hates being warm, especially at night. Last August when we checked into our room at AKL it was cold enough to store meat.

The only minor problems we have is when we try to increase the temperature by too many degrees at a time, the heat kicks on. It happened once at BWI, the heat went on and I actually thought something was burning. The next time it happened at AKL, I remembered it happening before, therefore only bumping the thermostat a degree at a time.

Beach Club and YC were both great for us. Ditto Wilderness Lodge. Contemporary in the tower was phenomenal. I've had good luck at Pop Century as well.

GF, BWI, AoA, Coronado....all busts.

I've stayed at Pop, All Star Sports, POFQ, CBR, BC and BWI and have never had a problem keeping the room nice and cold.

Last trip at Pop, we discovered that the AC was set at a certain temp. Just called maintenance, and they came and lowered it. So any resort can do that for you!

I have a medically fragile child, so also sometimes get a VIP cleaning (next time need to - last trip didn't) and it makes a difference!

Just call if it's too warm; they will lower it for you!

We were at CBR in Feb of this year and we had a/c issues. We spent most nights with hot air getting blown out so it made sleeping slightly uncomfortable.

AKL has the best A/C we have experienced. It actually gets colder than the setting which I love as I am always hot. Since the renovations at BC, I have had to call to have the temps lowered-every time we opened the balcony door the A/C would shut off and stay off-very annoying. I had two calls in to maintenance and finally had to complain to the CL staff to actually have it fixed.

Once we came back to our room at the WL and I think that mousekeeping had lowered the AC while cleaning. When we came back to the room , it was frigid. We still joke about it. My oldest called it the "movie theater" room because it was so dark and cold.

Luckily, I had a box fan but the room kept pretty cold at Pop (I love my freezing). AoA Mermaid room was a bust though. I would have been pretty uncomfortable had I not had my big fan.

BC, BWI and CBR are the last resorts we've stayed at for all 3 we had an ice cold room.

We've always had super cold AC at all the Disney resorts we've stayed at including AofA and POR.

AC problems can happen anywhere. I think they are more room dependant rather than resort dependant.

We have stayed at just about every resort, including AOA, and all of our rooms having been freezing.
