This may be a bit crazy but we are planning our first Christmas Disney trip for December 2010. Does anyone have a suggestion for a resort? Which resort is the most magical:wizard: for Christmas? :santa:

Here are our options based on our family and finances and preferences:
All Star Music - family suite:hippie:
Port Orleans Riverside:dance3:
Beach / Yacht Clubpirate:
Grand Floridian:littleangel:
Polynesian:flower3:
OKW:cool2:
Saratoga Springs:cool2:

My husband does not wish to stay at the Contemporary and we cannot afford the Villas.

Also, how soon can you reserve tickets for Mickey's Christmas Party and the Candelight Processional? Is it 6 mo, 90 days, or 12 mo?

Thanks for any advice or suggestions!!!

Not mentioned but we LOVE the wilderness lodge at Christmas.

It is so warm and cozy and the fire in the loby is so inviting. Decorations are beautiful, short ride to MK and much cheaper than GF!!

I think that POR will be the most budget friendly....plus the atmosphere here is really nice. The horse drawn carriage rides and boat to DTD are also very nice...and being able to use pool at POFQ is great too.

We love the Beach Club and it is a fabulous location to enjoy the Christmas fun at Epcot and DHS (do not miss the Osborne Lights...it is fabulous!!). The entire Boardwalk area is very festive (w/Christmas music piped in). If you stay here, hopefully the weather will cooperate and you can enjoy the fabulous BC pool!

The GF may be the ultimate at Christmas w/an entire lobby full of lifesized gingerbread and you will get maximum space at ASMu suites.

Our family LOVES the Boardwalk area, so it would be BC, no contest, but really, anywhere you are will be wonderful!

Not sure when the MVMCP dates will be released...perhaps May. I would also NOT do that on a weekend to hopefully ensure lower attendance.

The Candlelight Processional is part of Epcot admission and is free....you can get preferred seating by booking a dinner package via Disney Dining. Not sure when those dates are released either. However, the time of your meal determines the time of your pref. seating show tickets....book lunch for first show, etc. etc. This is absolutely beautiful .... the presenters change every few days, so check that out as well when the dates are released.

studio garden view at GF is $5930.58 for the dates of Dec 23-29th
Poly,.... 5424.22
Beach Club..... 14,840.58
Animal Kingdom Lodge... 9,069.00
Port Orleans French Quarter....2,908.74
All Star Music suite .....3,690.82
Coronodo Springs..... 7,438.02

this is based on 2 adults and 2children and park tickets, just to give you a rough idea.

look into renting DVC points. If you do OKW though you need a 2 br because they only sleep 4 in a 1 br and studio. AKL some rooms sleep 5 in the 1 br. hth.
