Best resort for a couple at Disney

My ILs are very generously giving DH and I their RCI points to use in October for an adult's only trip . I am holding out hope for a DVC to become available, but if not what resort would you recommend?? There is still a lot of availability for Sheraton Vistana, Orange Lake, Silver Lake, Wyndham Cypress Palms, Summer Bay, etc. Does anyone have a preference? We want close to Disney, but will have a car if we HAVE to be offsite. TIA!!

POFQ is very quiet and romantic to me but in the DVC arena, any would work. I am partial to AKV for romance. It is a tranquil retreat type setting for quick breaks from the park, great pool and animals. Any would work though. Have fun.

how about wyndham bonnet creek???

otherwise might go with silver lake or sheraton vistana resort just because they are close to WDW.

with DVC would go with OKW or SSR - those RCI might actually have.

on your wish list - BCV or BWV - these are both epcot resorts so great for the food/wine at Epcot in Oct.

BLT - it is the closest resort to the MK - you can walk over. It is attached to CR. so it is also great for the f/w at epcot w/monorail and Mickey's very scary halloween party at the MK

DVC, beach club or animal kingdom for DVC. For off site, Wyndham at Bonnet Creek is nice. Outside of that, my next chouce would be a Hilton resort. They are really nice.

If you ask me, I would suggest Wyndham Bonnet Creek resort.
It is a complete place whether you are on family vacations or on a business travel.

The Marriotts and Hiltons are the best but based on your list I would go with Sheraton Vistana Villages. It is a nice place and newer. Multiple pools so you can find the adult one.

If you are going off site, I highly recommend Silver Lake. It has become our favorite resort for trips for my wife and I. WBC is really nice but sooooo crowded and has horrible parking. You have to drive a ways for restaurants and groceries. Silver Lake is small, has great parking, newly remodeled condos and has a great selection of restaurants and grocery stores near by. Only minutes to WDW.
