Hi everyone!

What resort would you recommend for 2 adult couples spending one weekend at Disney?

Myself and future husband are Disney fans, the other couple has never been.

What would be best to introduce them to Disney and all the magic?

Thank you in advance!

Beach Club and Yacht Club - easy walk to Epcot and also a nice walk to DHS.

I'm not sure what your budget is, but our favorite resort is the Poly, so that would be my first choice if you want to be close to MK and it's convenient for going to Epcot as it's just a 5-7 minute walk to the TTC to catch the Epcot monorail. It's also convenient to a variety of dining options at the GF and CR (as well as to the WL ;)). Plus, seeing the castle from just about anywhere on the Poly grounds is great and it doesn't get any more magical than that, IMO. However, if you are looking for a resort that has nightlife, I would look into the BWI. We've never stayed there, but we have stayed at the BC and the Epcot resort area is nice, with the boardwalk having a lot of fun things to do. Good luck :).

I would choose an Epcot Resort. Beach Club would be my first choice.

I guess I would go with whatever appeals to you the most and where you plan to spend your weekend. A boardwalk hotel (YC, BC, BW) would offer you an easy walk/boat ride to Epcot or DHS...so if that's where you plan to spend your time those would be great options. For my boyfriend and I...WL or AKL would be our choices...especially if we planned to spend time at the resort itself. Just suits our style more. CR is also high up on the list...especially if we just went for a weekend because it's just an easy walk to MK.

For moderates...I would probably choose POR or POFQ. POFQ is more compact and a lot of people really like that. POR is more our style though. I like the boat ride to DTD too...especially nice if you want to spend some nights over there.

If you plan to spend more time OUT of the room and away from the resort then I would choose Pop (nice lake to walk around at night) and use the extra money to have some great experiences at the parks or some really nice dinners out.

The real magic for me is out at the parks...so I would tend to be more frugal on the resort side of things and spend the money on other stuff. But everyone's different so just choose whatever fits your group the best.

For MK area, I'd pick WL. The resort is stunning. Plus you have the boat to MK and the boat to CR which gives monorail access.

For EP area, I'd pick the BW. Walking to both EP and HS is great. The whole area around Crescent lake is beautiful.

Good luck deciding and have a great trip!

Are you concerned at all with a lot of kids being at a particular resort? Some adults without kids are..just wondering if that's something that's a factor?

Grand Floridian if the budget allows if not POR

Umm in my opinion these would be quite low in the "fun for couples category." No nightlife, bars are pretty lame and more of a family type atmosphere.

Y&B-BW are the go-to's for this category. This coming from a 29 year old who comes 6-8 times a year w his gf and other couples.

Epcot is where the partying is at and the boardwalk area is fun.

Lets be real though add alchy and everything is even more fun at Disney!

Wow thank you everyone! Our first instinct was Ft. Wilderness because of the RV potential.

But now I am leaning towards an Epcot resort of WIlderness Lodge, but it might be nice to be on the boardwalk and walk to Epcot. I don't know why I didn't think of the Boardwalk resorts?

Thanks again!

Boardwalk!!
It's a perfect resort for adult couples with no kids. DH & I have stayed here on a few trips without our kids. It's the perfect resort for such a trip. Easy walking distance to DHS & Epcot, nightlife, access to great restaurants not only on the BW, but at Swan/Dolphin, and YC/BC. The decor is fabulous and it isn't over run with kids lol ;) Oh and the quiet pool there is one of our favorites on property!!

JellyRolls!!! BlueZoo!!! (at Dolphin) IlMulino!! (Swan)

Mini-golf (easy walk from BWI)

My wife and I stayed at the boardwalk inn prior to kids... We always say it's a wonderful resort for couples. We loved it.

since you are only going to be there for 2 days - which park are you planning on spend the most time at.

if the MK - then BLT/CR - you can walk to the MK or VWL/WL you can boat or bus to the MK

if Epcot - then BC/BCV or BW/BWV - you can walk to Epcot and walk or boat to Studios.

if studios - then again one of the Epcot resorts.

Kept in mind that you can't (and be sane) visit all the parks in 2 days - now have done it on quick trip but only got on my favorites. Since you are taking new people - that can be a problem.

when are you going?

Thank you all again!

Our parks are up in the air too, I also posted to that board :)

I am thinking Epcot and DHS.

Sounds like Boardwalk would be best!

I'd pick Contemporary it's a hop, skip, and jump from MK. It has a great atmosphere and you can't really go wrong with the view. Also, the rooms are the best on property, in my opinion.
