Best resort at Christmas

We are booked gran destino mid December, contemplating switching to boardwalk or poly. What are everyone’s fav resort at Christmas time?

This thread made me think happy thoughts...Disney and Christmas Animal Kingdom Lodge is one of our favorites that time of year. The decorations are beautiful and I love the music.

WL is very nice, but only the DVC resorts will be open there this Christmas. The hotel portion will not be open.

This will be GDT's first Christmas, so it will be interesting to see what they do there.

There are so many of them that are fantastic, I can't pick just one!

Wilderness Lodge is my favorite overall any time of year, but for the holidays it is especially magical.

We have stayed at Boardwalk, Kidani (with a couple nights at Movies before moving over), and Poly over the holiday season. For convenience, I pick the Polynesian. For atmosphere and decorations, AK Jambo House is spectacular. Yacht/Beach have great lobby displays. Grand Floridian's lobby is beautifully decorated and has the gingerbread house. Swan/Dolphin is great, too.

No matter where you stay, try to make time to see all the resorts decorated - they're amazing!

Wilderness Lodge. But agree with @xlsm, it’s fun to visit the other lobbies! The chocolate display at the Swan smells ah-MAY-zing!!

I gotta say Ft Wilderness. There is nothing like it with huge numbers of people decorating their sites in every loop!

Fort Wilderness: Great vibe with all the personal touches on the campsites!
Wilderness Lodge: Our overall favorite, so we are prejudiced!
Polynesian & Contemporary: Left us cold
Grand Floridian: Gorgeous and traditional
Animal Kingdom Lodge: Gorgeous and eclectic
Boardwalk: Lovely and understated
Have never made it to any of the others! Next trip!

Nothing beats WL at Christmas. GF is a close second but it cant beat that log cabin feel with the massive tree and roaring fire. We are booked at CCV the week after Thanksgiving. Hope it works out!

Copper Creek. Being in the building at WL is just THE best at Christmas. And CCV may be the only option for that in 2020.

But really, anywhere with a theme park view at Christmas is fantastic. Seeing the frosty blue castle and Christmas fireworks every night is *chef’s kiss*

WL or FW - I like to visit GF and BC and BW to check out their decorations but the lobbies (especially GF) are so crowded and loud it’s not where I want to stay.

that decision has not been made but in either event the lobby of the wilderness lodge is the most incredible of all the resorts at Christmas. That would not change if the hotel side is not open, CC, WLV, the lobby and all the restaurants will be. I am not sure anyone would notice the hotel wing is closed

I think all the resorts are beautifully decorated, but the Wilderness Lodge is our favorite during the holidays.

Beach Club with the Gingerbread House and Yacht Club with winter train scene. Plus the Christmas scents in the Beach Club.
