Best RCI Resorts in the USA

What are the best RCI resorts in the USA to book using DVC points?

SOrry to be a cynic but RCI doesn't seem to have the same level of quality at all (II had places I had actually heard of). Most of the resorts are brands I have never heard of. As of right now I would stick to the properties with names you have heard of, like Hilton for example. The Hilton properties in Hawaii look nice.

if you have kids, I would say smugglers notch in VT. Some units are very nice, others are older, but for the kids' programming, pools, activities, I think it is great. We just got back last week and had a wonderful vacatiion, 2 parents, 4 kids, 2 grandparents. Elaine

If you are on the west coast the Greens at the Welk Resort in Escondido is very nice. Stayed there last year and going again this year. Two pools next to each other, water splash zone and a nice water slide make up the main area. You can get to DL and San Diego in under an hour either direction, plus Legoland is very close. My 3 and 7 year olds love it.

We actually own at Smuggs and recently purchased into DVC. I am happy to hear other love it too, we have been going since we were kids and now we go every year, sometimes twice a year with our kids.

Obviously the best is somewhat subjective. In general I'd put the Hilton's and DVC at the top, add in St. James Place and Big Cedar. One might add a few of the top Wyndham's, a few other top Bluegreen options (Fountains, Charleston). Also one or two Sedona locations and several of the Club Intrawest options (non US mostly though). Maybe Bay Club and KCR for HI. Houses at Summer Bay with a private pool. This should be about it other than a few specialty places such as Tahoe, CO ski areas, Smugglers Notch. Note I didn't cross reference all the resorts to DVC list for RCI.

I agree with Lawrence Welk. Last time we stayed at the Club Intrawest in Whistler BC it was looking a little shabby. Once they redo it, it will rank right up there. Wyndham Bonnet Creek, the one in Panama City Beach FL and the Wyndham in San Antonio were nice. There are probably more but they are slipping my mind right now.

I own at Palm Beach Shores and that all-inclusive resort is lovely. All Red time.
