Best Rates for Christmas?

Any good deals available for Christmas? I would like to go Dec 26-31. And advice?

Look for the historical data under codes.

Typically there aren't any discounts for that period. They are very crowded at that time.

Swan and Dolphin have discounts at this time unlike the disney resorts. We got Swan club level for $214/night using teachers rate. Regular room was $149, I think. we are DVC members and decided to try this for 12/28-1/02/04 and we rented out our OKW reservation. Location of the Swan is an advantage for New Year's Eve(from experience last year).

If you can move your trip up a few days you might get a discount. Your current dates are at holiday season, which usually have no discounts. Disney's value season usually ends around December 23 (check the website or www.wdwig.com for info on specific dates).

First, if you check in during one season the rates carry over for your entire stay. This means if you check in on the last day of value season you get that rate the whole time, even though most of your stay is in holiday season.

Second, last year there were room only discounts that were good up until a 12/23 check in. I don;t know if there will be a room only discount this year, but you'll have a better chance if your vacation starts on or before 12/23.

Last year we paid $210 per night for GV room at GF, Dec 25-30. I think this was AP rate.

Just booked the Dolphin 2/23 - 2/27 for teacher's rate of $129. per night. DH is gold SPG, so hoping for an upgrade to club level, but not counting on it, due to the holiday season. We still feel we got a great deal!
