We currently have 4 nights at ASM and 9 nights at AKL reserved for June using a AAA discount. I believe we saved 15% on ASM and 10 % on AKL. I'm considering buying an annual pass and was wondering how much I can expect to save on my room using the Best Rate Plan. Am I going to save more than the 10% that I'm getting on AKL? I know noone knows for sure, but can someone say what the likely discount will be and if I'd be better off with BRP than with AAA? Thanks in advance for all of your help!

For the length of your stay, I think you would likely do well with the BRP program, as long as you're comfortable with the one-nights non-refundable deposit.

If you're going in June, that will be regular season. That is not open under BRP as of yet, but I can tell you that a standard room under BRP for peak season (March) is $166/night (before tax), while the regular rack room rate would be $299. That's a pretty significant savings, and much better than the 10% with AAA. It seems that it makes the most sense to buy one AP for someone in your group when you're staying in the deluxe resorts, as the savings can be much more significant. As you get into moderate, and then value, resorts, the savings between BRP and AAA get a bit closer to each other.

We stayed at the WL (same price scale as the AKL) earlier this month under the BRP, and we paid about $143/night for a standard room, when it typically would have been $221/night (both with tax).

Good luck, whatever you decide!!
