best rate Friday or Saturday Labor Day weekend?

We are tentatively planning a trip the weekend of Labor Day, staying through the week, and departing on Sunday after Labor Day. This is a new travel time for our family. Does anyone have experience with airfare rates that weekend? The Friday before is close to $70 more pp than flying in Saturday. I know how much rates can change, but with this being a holiday weekend I am leaning towards coming in on Saturday, but my heart wants to arrive as early as possible
