So, I've heard about the corn dogs, but what else would you suggest a first timer eat at DCA and DL? I'm mostly looking for smaller meals/snack suggestions, because I want to try as many places as possible without making myself feel sick!

Bonus points for anyone who can suggest snacks that we could take home with us that we could eat over the next day or two as well!

Thank you!

Cheese on a stick at Corn Dog Castle! BEST THING EVER!!!

Churros! I have to have one (or two or three...) every trip! I also love the caramel apples. My husband can't get through a trip without a bag of Chip and Dale pretzels. Our favourite qs is the Pacific Wharf Cafe in DCA. Soups and salads in delicious bread bowls. It's definitely more than a snack though. I always leave stuffed! Enjoy snacking your way through DL!!

DCA -

- Just about anything from Cozy Cone, but especially the Chili Cone Queso and Chicken Verde. A Red's Apple Soda is a must. I also like trying the different flavors of popcorn. They have some weird ones that are really good.

- I like the corndogs at DCA Corn Dog Castle better than the huge monstrosities at DL. I think the ones at DL have way too much breading.

- Clarabelle's on Buena Vista Street -- dark chocolate covered raspberry sorbet bar, hand dipped. Messy but very yummy.
- Pacific Wharf Cafe -- Apple Chicken Salad, broccoli cheese soup in a bread bowl
- DH and DD13 love the turkey legs they get over in Hollywoodland; I can't remember the name of the place
- Churros

DL -

- Bengal BBQ's bacon-wrapped asaparagus
- Hungry Bear's turkey strawberry almond salad
- Jolly Holiday's raspberry macaroon (eat it on the spot, don't take it home or it will get soggy)
- Chocolate or berry twists from Maurice's Treats, and they have a yummy foamy drink there I can't recall the name of.
- Beignets from Mint Julep Bar. Also the fritter of the day -- either at Mint Julep bar or somewhere else in NOS
- Pineapple from Tropical Imports. Seriously this is the best pineapple I've ever had. I have no idea why. Maybe it's just because it's so hot when I have it but it's yummy.
- Dole Whip
- Churros

Fixed that for you.

bengal barbecue for sure. we like to get a few different skewers and share them. also the pomegranate piranha lemonade there is really good!
at jolly holiday they have a toasted cheese sandwich and tomato soup combo that's really good (and i don't even care for tomato soup).
if you like sea food, the lobster nachos at cove bar in dca and the lobster roll at harbour galley in disneyland are yummy!
for take home snacks, the churro popcorn is amazing and the peanut brittle is really good. both of these can be found in the shops scattered throughout the park.
if you're going to get a corndog in disneyland, go to stage door cafe. it's cheaper than the red wagon and the line is much shorter too.

Depending on how much space you have in your luggage you could take home a loaf of Mickey sourdough bread from DCA. We just ate at it in our room with butter and it was super tasty.

Bengal Barbecue is my favorite. I usually get a chicken skewer and a grilled veggie skewer.

For things you can take home an eat later, I recommend the peanut butter sandwich (which is more of a dessert). I bought mine at Pooh's Corner, but I believe they have it at other candy shops, too. I posted a picture of it in the Disneyland Dining with Pictures thread. It will either be on the last page or the second to last page of that thread.

Tigger tails for a sweat treat back at Pooh's Corner. WDW's marshmallow wands can't compare. I will add another vote for Churros. They are not very good at WDW but I ate one almost daily at DL. Also the jalapeno cheese stuffed pretzel found at Coke Corner on MS is a great snack. Also really enjoyed the Red's Apple Freeze in Carsland and the garlic bagel twist at Maurice's in Fantasy Faire.

My favorite counter service is definitely Pacific Wharf Cafe. I love the sourdough bread bowls with chowder. And the rest of my family can hit Mexican or Chinese food in that seating area.

Flo's V-8 has great seating with a view of Radiator Springs Racers, though the food is just OK.

Some of our favorite snacks, treats, and QS meals:

-Skewers from Bengal Barbeque
-Dole Whip
-Grilled cheese and tomato soup from Jolly Holiday (they also have the Matterhorn macaroon and raspberry Mickey macaron here which are both delicious)
-Churros
-Corn dog from Little Red Wagon
-We really enjoyed our meal at Red Rose Taverne if they still have that overlay during your trip
-lobster nachos and drinks from Cove Bar
-Soup or salad in a bread bowl at Pacific Wharf
-A sundae from Ghiradelli's in DCA (these are huge and we normally share one between the three of us)

Churros for sure!

Apparently the fried chicken at Plaza Inn for lunch is a cult favorite. I haven't tried it but DH is excited about it, lol.

Dark Chocolate Rocky Road from the Candy Palace for the days following vacation.

The stage door cafe also gives you fries instead of chips with your corndog and the corndog is still just as delicious. The beignets at the Mint Julep Bar in DL are a must. At the cozy cones in DCA you can get a vodka pomegranate lemonade from the one that serves the cone queso and it's a very yummy refreshing drink. I think only in DCA can you find the chocolate/vanilla soft serve, it's a must for me. It's nothing fancy, but definitely delicious on a warm sunny Anaheim day. I also highly recommend taking home a loaf of Boudin sourdough from DCA, especially if you don't live in California. Boudin sourdough is some of the best sourdough bread in my opinion. It's delicious with some butter.

Also i'm not sure what days you're going but the Food and Wine festival is still going on in DCA. There's a ton of food stands with a variety of options for the festival. It ends on 4/16 though.
