Hi everyone!

We are in the process of finding out we were given wrong info (long story)and the dining plan we have is actually the QS one and not the basic plan. We leave in 3 weeks and the plan cannot be upgraded. There is no way I can pay for the full dining plan OOP with this short of notice.

So now - we are going to have to pay OOP for some tables (Ohanna's for sure) and was wondering where you guys love CS meals at.

Normally we have done CS at Cosmic Rays or some place equivalent that is a burger/chicken tender sort of place. Hoping there are some better food quality spots you know of including resorts.

So PLEASE let me know what place you have had good luck with and what food. The only thing this family is not fond of is fish of any kind - so the rest would be great!

THANK YOU ALL!:worship:

Our favorites were Pop Century's food court, Wolfgang Puck Express DD Marketplace and POR Riverside Food Court. These restaurants had a lot of food choices that were different. At POR we had the make your own pasta, at POP, I had the Chicken Alfredo and DH had a fish sandwich both of which were very good. Plus the ice cream station was included in the dessert so we were able to get sundaes and milkshakes for our dessert. At WPE express,we have had many different meals, all of which were very good. I don't think we have ever had anything we disliked at WPE. We have had chicken, pasta, sandwiches and pizza there.

MK: Columbia Harbour House

EPCOT: Sunshine Seasons

DTD: Wolfgang Puck Express

DHS: Don't bother

AK: Flame Tree Barbecue

Since you're doing the QSDP, you'll have 2 snack credits per day, per person. We used some of ours for Dole Whip Floats at Aloha Isle, funnel cakes at Sleepy Hollow, sweet pretzels in Norway. Even though you'll read here that the cinnamon buns at Main Street Bakery are the best thing ever, we found them to be pretty bland and tasteless, though huge, and think that Entenman's makes better. Not wild about school bread in Norway either, there are much better choices.

This past trip, 2 weeks ago, we had burgers at Cosmic Ray's for the first time, they were ok but Disney is now using some gross whole wheat buns for burgers and hot dogs. Besides tasting like cardboard, they crumble right in your hand as you're eating.

May I recommend at MK Columbia Harbor House. It's a nice break from burgers and such. They have salads, tuna sandwich, chicken, fried fish and this delicious hummus sandwich.

I actually just found out we did the same thing
So I was doing a little research online as to what a "meal" consists of at a counter service. Does that include a dessert or what? I'm soooooo confused also. however I came across this link. I hope im allowed to post links. If not forgive me, im pretty new at this.

Yes, a counter service meal using the QSDP includes a dessert. Some are good, some are blah. Sunshine Seasons has a fab bakery, at WPE you can have creme brulee with your CS meal. If you eat at your resort's foodcourt, because the refillable mug is included with QSDP, you get an additional drink with your meal. We used ours for bottled water and juices. I know it's confusing at first but it'll be ok, even I figured it out. ;)

Wolfgang Puck Express was better than some of the table service we had last year. I hear the same about Earl of Sandwich and can't wait to try it in January. And, no flames, but we HATED Flame Tree. Seems to be a favorite, but we are from NC and that is not what we call BBQ.

You'll love your QSDP! I've done the regular DP three times and still get confused about what's included where. One thing I've learned is to let the CM taking your order that you're using a QS credit. They are very well versed on what's included and what's not. They have always been helpful in ordering! Have a magical time!

Some of these have been mentioned.

Have a Magical visit!

We just returned from seven days on the QS plan. Our favorite by far was Columbia Harbour House at MK. They have a fried shrimp that the hubby loved. The shrimps were nice sized, the cole slaw was good and so were the fries, and the tuna sandwich was as good as I remembered. We tried the Flame Tree, but it was so smokey it did not agree with either one of us, so we are probably marking it off our list. We had talked about doing the dessert buffet, but I am so glad we didn't. We could not eat all of the desserts that came with the meals. We eventually started ordering the things on the menu that we thought we could take back to the room (cookies, chocolate cakes) and had them for breakfast the next day. They still piled up on us. My carry-on was full of cake, cookies and rice crispy Mickey heads for the flight home. We loved Wolfgang Puck's and the Earl of Sandwich has this great holiday turkey, stuffing and cranberry sauce thing that was to die for. We had plenty of snacks too. Dole whips and Mickey ice cream bars every afternoon. We did have a lunch at the San Angel Inn oop which is the hubby's fav. I had the Sopa Azteca and the tostada off the app menu and it was plenty--oh and of course margaritas. Our bill all together came to about $50.00 which didn't seem so bad considering half if it was margaritas. We also visited the Cava de Tequila. If you like tequila it is will worth a visit.

DH & I loved eating at Morroco's QS. The food was fantastic, it wasn't crowded, and it was set back from main walking area, quiet and nicely shaded. This was my favorite for CS.

We also had the CS for lunch in Mexico & Japan and really enjoyed it. Wolfgang Puck is yummy at the Marketplace. Also, we've enjoyed the Village Haus at MK and Seasons Food Court at The Land.

Pepper Market--I think is best!

Noodle House; taco place which is never open across from POTC; Sunshine Seasons

Our favs:
MK - Columbia Harbor House; Cosmic Rays and Pecos Bills are OK too, I avoid Pinocchio's (crowded and limited menu)
OR, you could always take a break from MK and go to Captain Cooks at the Poly

Epcot -Sunshine Seasons has lots of variety
In WS we like our bratwursts in Germany, Morocco and Japan are decent too and DH really enjoyed China on our last visit (he was the only one hungry at the time)

DHS - We usually end up at Pizza Planet per kids' request so I can't help you out there.

AK - Pizzafari - we like the Caesar salad and hot Italian sandwich

DTD - WPE is fantastic! Earl of Sandwich is good too.

I'm curious. Why can't you upgrade now? I thought that was always an option?

We had wonderful meals from Gasparilla Grill in the GF, Capt Cooks at the Poly, anything from POFQ, CHH in MK, Tangerine Cafe in Morocco, Lotus Blossom in China, Germany, Sunshine Seasons in the Land, Flame Tree BBQ in AK, There is a great BBQ spot in HS, in front of the Tower of Terror, EoS and WPE in DTD
