Best purse for parks?

I like the Disney Dooney crossbody. It fits meds, hair ties, lady things, water bottle, $, id, credit cards, band aids, & phone for me

This is what I used and it was so liberating because those bags although they look small they hold quite a bunch. Worked perfect for a pack rat like myself

My DH carried a backpack, but that only held our two Brita water bottles, snacks, my sweatshirt and any souvenirs that we may have acquired through the day.

In the stroller days, I used a Vera Bradley hipster purse. Once we got rid of the stroller and lost a place to store some stuff, I started carrying a Vera Bradley mailbag purse-- which is far more convenient when you hear "Mom, can you hold this...Mom, can you put this in your purse...Mom can you hold this....". That is the only thing we carry into the park. We don't bring any type of backpack.

it doesn't seem to matter what bag I take--it starts the week looking fine and by the time we're heading to MCO it looks like it's been through a tornado.

last trip I took a lug crossbody (this one: http://www.luglife.ca/products/cable-car-satchel?variant=1156048981). it was on the larger side, but very lightweight material. I liked the flexibility--I could bring essentials only (camera, sunscreen, Advil), or I could load up (a light sweater, sunglasses, Mickey ear storage). (although I did wear the bag out, the company sent me a new one under warranty, so I'll be trying the same bag next month)

I've been thinking about trying the Lug Cable Car. Do you know if a DSLR camera with a regular lens would fit in the main compartment? Is the opening fairly wide? Thanks.

I bought a Vera Bradley Cargo Cross-Body for this trip thinking my usual hipster would not hold enough. A pre-trip trial proved the Cargo to be too big and heavy and it bothered my neck. I ended up going with my Vera small backpack and I regretted it. Getting on and off rides etc. I ended up holding it by the handle more than wearing it on my back. At the end of our first day in the parks I bought a small Disney purse in the Emporium at MK. I can't find a photo of it online but it's royal blue with a WDW design/print, a small crossbody. It was just big enough that I could very carefully fit in my wallet, sunglasses, inhaler, meds, lipstick, hand sanitizer, phone and a tiny hairbrush. It was a little small but a lifesaver, so much easier to deal with. And as a bonus on Tower of Terror it floated up in front of me and hung in the air for a moment!

I think so! It's a pretty big bag, for a cross body, without being a messenger style. The sides of the bag are a bit angled, so the opening is a bit narrower than the base, but I don't think you'd have a problem getting a camera in it. Plus there are lots of pockets, so you could use the main compartment for the camera and keep everything else away from it.

I use this mini purse. It holds my sunglasses, phone, small camera, lip balm, cash, a cc, AP passes & DVC Member cards and there's still a bit of room left. It's really lightweight & cleans easily.

darn i thought this could be a smaller option for me but the strap appears to be like backpack strap material and i find that material on cross body bags migrates to my neck and is too rough.

Another big Baggalini bag fan here!! The crossbody bags are awesome - well constructed and they last forever!! That's all I buy now and I have them in a large variety of colors and sizes. I also buy them at TJ Maxx - usually for $19.99-$24.99. I refuse to buy one now that doesn't have the smaller outside zipper pocket with a lot of the card slots. They completely eliminate the need for a wallet. The most recent one I bought is a fun deep purple and is about 8 1/2" w x 6 1/2" t x 3 1/2" d. It is the perfect park bag and holds all of my cards (ID, DVC, AP, health ins. etc), my cell phone, sunglasses, Tide Pen, chapstick, eyeglass cloth, small pill bottle, purse size tissues etc.

Tory Burch nylon back pack that I have used for years throughout Disney Land. Lightweight, water resistant, not too large but I carry phone, sunglasses, readers, epi pen, inhaler, small 1st aid kit, snacks, and small water bottle.

It's actually soft, like a narrower version of your seat belt. If your seat belt gives you problems though........

actually it does lol.
my seat belt is always rubbing on my neck.
i have it at the lowest it will go and its still on my neck.
if i'm ever in an accident i very well could get hurt due to it.

I'm still figuring out how to make the best use of all the bag's nooks and crannies - in fact, I just discovered that the front section flaps open and contains another pair of pockets (one zipper) hidden behind! There are lots of pockets, and the inner lining is a light beige color that makes my items easy to find. It's fairly small but surprisingly spacious inside, very lightweight, and has a nice broad strap, making it comfortable as a crossbody bag. So far, I've been wearing it set really loose so I can fit it over my big puffy winter coat, but I've found it comfortable. I'll have to see if I still find it comfy once I'm not so well-padded! It's definitely well-constructed and will hold up to being overstuffed. Not that I'd ever overstuff a bag...

It's still pretty new and I haven't yet taken it to Disney, but so far, so good. If it lives up to its early promise, it will be my park bag this fall!

The smallest crossbody that fits your phone, sunglasses and other essentials.
The only MUST is that it is a crossbody.

I've tried using a Vera Bradley backpack and a Vera Bradley cross-body several times while at WDW. If you ride many of the rides at WDW, I recommend the cross-body option. I love that I can wear this bag on pretty much any of the rides, and the best part is that they don't get ruined in the rain/on water rides. I tend to keep things like my wallet/cell phone in a zip-lock bag inside my cross-body bag, that way I don't have to worry about anything getting damaged.

I've had the Piazza for about a year (I have the purple too). I don't carry alot in it and to me, it seems to get heavy after a while. Definitely try it at home without a jacket for a long day before taking it to the parks. I've used a few different small crossbody bags (LL Bean mini messenger, Baggallini Triple Zip, Ebags Terrace Mini) over the years at the the parks and find the Terrace Mini to be the best for what I need to carry.
