My 18 yr old DS says that his business professors have told the students they will be needing a suit later in the school year. So.. guess what we're getting him for Christmas! Anyhow, where have you found the best prices/quality for suits? I haven't been suit shopping since my husband was job hunting in college 25 years ago!

My dad and my husband both had good experiences with Men's Wearhouse. I think they're having a buy one get one free sale going on (I think I saw that on tv).

My mom got my brother's at JC Penny. They often have really good sales on their separates for men. I think she paid about $120 total for a really nice wool suit for him.

Kohls has some nice suite like separates. Dh needed a suite for an event and had lost weight. Kohls came thru like a champ and did not need any alterations. Also they go on "sale" regularly.:hippie:

My teens each have a suit and they got theirs at a second hand store called Value Village. Also Deseret Industries (the morman version of a thrift store) They are each really nice suits for a much cheaper price.

Happy hunting

Kohls does have nice separates. I have bought some for my son to attend bar/bat mitzvahs and weddings and they were great.

I would also suggest Mens Wearhouse, SYMS, or nicer department stores.

Burlington Coat Factory has good prices on suits. Last suit I got my DS15 was from Goodwill. They sell suits for around $30. He is still growing, so I am not paying $200 for a suit he will outgrow. I even got a nice pair of dress shoes for $6 there.

I work in the financial industry and wear a suit 5 days a week. Been doing this for the past 15 years.

The best quality for the price is Wal-Mart. The brand is called George and these suits hold up much better than anything else I've tried.

I've had Brooks Brothers, JC Penny (Stafford), Mens Warehouse, Armani, Jos. Banks, etc...

I would also recommend the one's at Kohl's but they are slightly more expensive than Wal-Mart.

I do also recommend suit separates. The jacket will last much longer than the pants so you can get two pair of pants to make the suit last longer.

Watch estate sales. I've seen wonderful suits going for just dollars. We also shop Goodwill type stores, but it's a bit harder to find quality at those.

I've seen some really nice "young style" business suit seperates at Target. My brother said they work fine for him.

Ive been very happy with my Jos A Bank suits, would def. recommend going there during one of their sales

We were happy with our experience as well. Also, if you work for certain companies, they used to give you an extra 10% off. I think you have to ask because I've never seen it advertised. I'm looking for their Black Friday ad to see if there are any other good deals.

My DH has good luck at Burlington Coat Factory. He has some dressier/more expensive suits for weddings/interviews/business dinners which he got from Mens Warehouse. But for everyday ones (or ones that you would outgrow), I would def recommend Burlington.

I would try Burlington Coat Factory. I just bought my 14year old who is 6' a blazer for school and was very happy with the price and quality.

Another vote for Jos. A. Bank, excellent quality and great sale prices.
