Best pre-party lounge: Steakhouse 71 or Tambu Lounge?

We have tickets to MVMCP - but have a few hours to kill before the party and don't have park tickets that day. Were planning to head over to one of the monorail resorts - either Steakhouse 71 lounge or Tambu lounge (I think those are the only ones open before 3?). Which would you recommend? TIA!

I’d go to Steakhouse 71. You can’t get food from the Tambu Lounge til after 4pm.

Definitely want to do a monorail resort for easier access to the party in this case. Don’t necessarily need the lounge to have food - guess I’m curious about better ambiance/drinks.

I take it back. I didn’t realize there was bus and boat transport to MK from WL. I’d be open to Geyser Point, Steakhouse 71, or Tambu lounge. Really looking for whatever has the overall best aesthetic and yes holiday decor!

If you want ambiance and decor, I would take Steakhouse 71 off the list. The food there is good, but I always feel like I'm eating in a basement there. If you want gorgeous holiday decor, I would probably do Geyser Point - WL is absolutely gorgeous and Geyser Point has a great atmosphere. If iyou would rather be inside, I would go to Tambu. Another gorgeous resort and great atmosphere - also a quicker trip to MK from Poly.

Defintely Geyser Point to see the beautiful Wilderness Lodge decorated too!

Call me crazy, but I say all three....Lunch and cocktails at Geyser Point ->take the boat to Contemporary and enjoy a beverage at Steakhouse 71 then depending on time monorail to the Poly and Tambu or if you spent your time relaxing too much the Magic Kingdom is an easy walk to the front gate from Steakhouse 71.

If you don't want to travel too much then I am biased towards Tambu - great food and great drinks!!!!!

Just remember the boat to the CR doesn't start until 3pm. Might not work if they want to get into the MK at 4pm. Tambu is a good call! Though I love Geyser Point, however depending on timing, I think it might be a skip for me if I weren't staying at the WL.

Always found Tambu to be hopping … have met a lot of great folks and had great conversations there … enjoy

Tambu Lounge opens in the morning. But you can’t order food til after 4pm.
