Best Pool @ All Stars??

Which resort of these has the best pool?

By this I mean these factors:
kid-friendly?
big?
lots of chairs? (to tan of course)

I can't speak for the Sports or Pop pools, but the Movies & Music pools differ only in design and "squirty" characters.

Movies main pool is a circle with Sorcerer Mickey at one end. He is holding his wand out towards the pool and water squirts from it into the pool.
Musics main pool is shaper like a guitar with the center of the guitar (where the hollow is) has a staue of the Three Caballeros that all squirt water into the pool. The "neck" of the guitar is seperate from the main portion and that is the kiddie section, only a few inches deep.
The chair issue is a non-factor. They have the same # of chairs and they all fill up in the afternoon/early evening.

I think this site has a section with resort maps that would give you an idea of the pool layouts if you want a visual. Also, if you go to www.wdwfun.com they probably have pictures of most of the pools in the resort section.

My three kids (11, 8 and 5) and I stayed at ASMo last February and POP this past February. We only used the main pools at each resort - the Fantasia pool at ASMo and the Hippy Dippy pool at POP. They seemed to be very similar in size and amount of chairs. The Fantasia pool has Sorcerer Mickey shooting out a shower of water. The Hippy Dippy pool is shaped like a flower and has 4 flower showers around the edge at different petals. They liked both of these pools but when given the option of staying at ASMo or POP for a future trip they chose ASMo for the Fantasia themed pool.

We love the guitar pool at ASmu and they play daily pool games and music. A HSM song came on and the entire pool (even lifeguards and dads) started singing along! They play an evening movie on an inflatable pool side screen and even wii games in the late afternoon/early evening. The kiddie pool is really close by to the main pool which made it easier to watch both pools at once.

The Fantasia pool at ASmo is also nice and we feel has the best "kiddie" area with a more zero-entry type pool and splash fountains. We do find it to be a tad on the "boring" side but the kids really seem to enjoy seeing Mickey while they swim!

ASsp pool is more of a free form pool like you'd find at any I-4 hotel/resort. We like the overall "surf" theme though and its VERY close to the main buidling which is great for grabbing a pool side snack or mug refill. The kiddie pool is your simple, round, dip pool.

I'd say all three other pools are on the same par with each other, but the baseball pool at Sports is a favorite. AMAZING theming in that section and a great treat if you have some baseball fans traveling with you!

Chair wise we do feel that the guitar pool at ASmu is best for this. It has more of a "pool deck" feel to us with chairs and tables lining both sides of the guitar and even on some parts of the end. We were able to find a chair easy in the peak of the afternoon on a sold out day in September. Either way, I think all 3 have plenty of chairs to enjoy the afternoon.

We've stayed at ASMo and ASMu and used both pools. We loved ASMu SOO MUCH! The pool was so much fun. They play music and are constantly playing games and having contests. In the evenings they play movies on a big blowup screen in front of the pool. Every time we walked past the pool back to our room, it was like a big party going on there. (My DS6 even won the dance contest one night and still talks about it. )

We are going back this year to ASMu and I've budgeted more time for the pool and resort, it was just so much fun. We fell in love with the whole resort. We've stayed at the All stars, Beach Club and Port Orleans, but ASMu was by far our favorite and a lot of the reason for that was the fun pool!
