So I've been dealing with an idiopathic leg pain issue. Basically out of nowhere it feels like someone has jammed a searing hot knife into my tibia and fibula. It's bilateral, does not always strike both legs at once, and can last anywhere from 3 hours to 2 weeks.

I also have moderate plantar fasciitis that flares mostly in the winter.

I'm being realistic with myself with the liklihood that I may need a scooter until doctors can get to the root of this leg pain :( It doesn't help that I'm currently pooh-sized (245 pounds) and I know people will make assumptions.

For my dad, we rented from Apple, but he *needed* the captains chair, so I didn't look at their other options. I noticed the GoGo Elite is only rated to 175 pounds.

Can someone recommend a scooter from a preferred vendor (we're rope drop types) that will handle my current excess baggage?

I'm very sorry about your leg pain. I have foot pain and I know that people are not always sympathetic. I am about your size and I own my own ECV. I have a Go Go Elite Traveler Plus HD. The HD model looks almost exactly like the model that you mentioned except that it is rated at 325 pounds. The regular Elite model is rated at 300 pounds so I think you could use that. I like the HD model because it gives me a bit more power with my weight. I would call around to the recommended vendors and see what they can offer you. I really like the Go Gos for the park because they are so small and can fit easily on the buses. Just be sure that you rent one with AH18 or AH20 batteries. Those will go all day without a problem.

I second what bedogged said. I have the Go-Go Elite Traveler Plus as my own and I am a few pounds less than you. I have had no issues with it not lasting all day.

I am piooh size and I rent the larger 3 wheel model from Aplle. It is great and holds the chrge all day no problem. I would not try the small one as the battery will have to overwork and will not last for the whole day

I'm just a shade smaller in pounds and we always rent from Apple and not the large one with the captain's chair either - if you let them know what your needs are they will definitely gear you toward what is right for you.
