Hi folks!

I'm starting the Couch to
5K :) and I'm needing some recommendations on a good plus size sports bra. What would you recommend? Thanks!:)

I'm not sure what size you need for "plus" size, but I wear a 40D and I absolutely LOVE Champion 360 max sports bras. They are a little pricey, but well worth it. The only thing with them is that they are a pullover, but also have a hook and eye in the back. I've gotten very adept at hooking them, but it can be a bit tricky at first.

You really want a good sports bra when you are running.

I love the Enell bras!! I am a 40 DDD and they hold me in like nobodys business!! A little pricey but they last forever and I now have 2 of them ;)

I second the Enell recommendation. Awesome! I wore them when I was really heavy (48DDD), but now that I've shed lots of weight, I really like the Champion underwire bras (don't know the model, but I get them at Kohl's). There are some great options out there -- much better than there were several years ago!

Congrats on starting the C25K!

This is the BEST sports bra money can buy! I swear by it and I am a 32GGG!!! It is the Panache Maximum Control Ultimate Underwire Sports Bra.

I want this!!
Tell me about the little hook that pulls the straps together in the back -- I can't zoom in on the back, so I can't see how sturdy it is. The feature I really really like about this one is that you can wear it with either racer back or tank back tops. And it's sooo pretty!

It really is the best bra ever! I have it in that purple/grey and also black. It fits amazing and wicks away the sweat really well! ( as anyone with large breasts knows, this can be an issue) the little hook just slides between the bra strap when you're not wearing it as a racer back. And it hooks onto a strong metal circle on the the side. So, yeah - its a convertible sports bra! With an underwire - so NO uni****! lol

I love the Enell ones. I am going to have to look into the other one suggested.

I want this! However, I see they're out of my size. I currently wear a 40D and use Enell bras. I only use the Enells for running and they do keep things in place but I get mono**** and sweat like the dickens in "there". This bra looks to address both the mono**** and sweating issue.

How good is the control for running? I have Moving Comfort bras that are fantastic for bootcamp workouts but I wouldn't wear them running as they're not supportive enough. I don't want a lot of bounce, at all.

TIA!

I wear mine for running, and their is no bounce what-so-ever. I would look around online, you can probably find someone who has one you can order, or a local lingerie store that has it in stock or that can order it for you. It's always best to get fitted for any bra you order as each manufacturer creates their bras differently for sizing. For example, I am a GGG, but I wear the 32GG instead.

I paid a lot of money for an Enell bra, ordered the right size and the thing doesn't fit!
I went to oldnavy.com and ordered from their larger womens' active section - they have bras up to a 4x. I got that one and it was WAY too big, the 2x fits great and holds down the twins....no, not an underwire - I can't wear those, they hurt!
So, just my 2 cents...(expecially since they are a lot less expensive!)

My sister swears by her Lululemon Ta-Ta Tamer II (that's seriously the name - Ta-Ta Tamer!) http://shop.lululemon.com/products/...ports-bras/Ta-Ta-Tamer-II-31110?cc=9713&sli=1

I personally wear an Under Armor that's WAY too small for me, so it's tight and does the job. The one I wear is this one http://www.underarmour.com/shop/us/en/pid1001174-100 . Yes, I get a uni-b00b, but man, they don't hit me in the face when I'm running. I normally wear a 32E or F, so that's saying something!

Of course, when I wear it, since it's so tight, it's hard to get on and off (especially off after a good shoulder/arm workout!) but it wicks moisture away really well. I wore it during a half that I did in 97° heat! It kept the sweat off me, everywhere but in-between, and believe me - there was a LOT of sweat! And since it's so tight, it squishes that little fat pocket that I have just to the front of my armpit... I hate that.

So, when I save up some cash, I'll be getting myself a Lululemon Ta-ta tamer, or now I'll be checking out the Panache and/or Enell. Thanks for the suggestions all!

ETA: The link I have at the top isn't the one I have. I think it's the latest version/replacement of it though. The one I have retailed for $75, but I found it at the outlet for $14.99, so I bought all they had that I could squeeze the girls into! So, I have 3 of the exact same sports bra, in a not so appealing blue color, but a deal's a deal! And that was one heck of a deal! I love my underarmour outlet!

I second the Ta Ta Tamer by Lululemon. The fit is snug but not tight, and the support is amazing. I've also heard good things about Enell and Moving Comfort.

I'm a 38D and love the Moving Comfort Fiona bra! The girls move just a tiny bit and the straps are adjustable but not like a typical bra where the clasp can scratch.
