Love the fireworks, dislike the throngs all trying to leave at the same time at park close. Is there any way to avoid this? Seriously, LOL.
Is it best to view deep in the park then just wait for everyone to leave? Is there any good viewing near the exit for easy escape...am I just dreaming here?

Thanks

I would watch from Liberty Square and wait a bit for the crowds to leave. Everyone's in such a hurry, if you hang around for 20 minutes or so it's not bad.

You could always watch them from the beach at the Polynesian...:wave2: Last time we stayed there, they had the music and everything from the parks on the speakers.

Once we watched from in front of the Plaza restaurant, and then they opened up the doors to backstage so we exited very fast. We were walking parallel to mainstreet, but behind the stores. Mind you, we had to enter Mainstreet near the camera store, and the crowds were bad there. If you can't take the crowds I'd suggest just waiting it out. The bulk of the crowds leave very quickly and then you pretty much have the park to yourself.

Why not try watching it from the top of the Train Station on Main Street? I saw the old fireworks from there once and enjoyed it. It was a little hard to hear some of the naration, but since you're right at the exit, you'll be the first people out of the park.

We watched them from the train station the other night. It was beautiful, but you have to get there early. They do have some tables, so you could grab food and maybe plan on eating dinner up there. Spectro was starting at 6:30 and Wishes at 7:30 that night. We arrived at the train station a little after 5pm with our food and took the last remaining seats. An older gentleman that I was sitting next to had been holding his seats since 4pm. We did get out of the park pretty quickly though when it was over. I'm not sure if it was the norm, but they kept the lights on from about mid-way down Main Street all the way back to the exit. I thought it did take a little away from the fireworks and would probably choose to find a spot further down Main Street next time.

I guess it all depends on the park closing time too. Earlier in the week, MK was open until midnight and the fireworks were at 9pm. By the time we left, the park had pretty much emptied out.
