:thumbsup2 Just curious: what are the best restaurants to book reservations at in MGM and Magical Kingdom? Also, any suggestions in Down Town Disney? Thanks!

MK -> Crystal Palace, Plaza for sit down. Casey's for counter service/hot dogs. Yum!
MGM -> We really liked Sci-Fi. Haven't been to too many other restaurants there to comment.

imo: mgm needs to get some new restaurants but we liked sci fi- great burgers and shakes...
MK- we liked the buffet at the crystal palace... yummy! :goodvibes

This is according to my family's tastes and opinions:
MK - TS is not great in terms of food, but there are some fun environments/character dining... CS - we like Columbia Harbor House and Pecos
MGM - TS - we like MM, though I know it takes some flack, maybe we got lucky the day we were there, CS - my kids adore Toy Story Pizza Planet

You must go to Liberty Tree Tavern for lunch at Magic Kingdom! Order the pot roast...I promise you won't regret it:goodvibes You can make ADR, but most of the time I show up and give them my name...usually the wait time is around 45 minutes....it's a good amount of time to either hit a ride or go shopping:thumbsup2 Whether you have kids or not it's a great place to take a little break from all of the Magic Kingdom madness:)

MGM - TS Sci Fi and 50's and for CS Pizza Planet
MK - Liberty Tree Tavern or The Plaza for TS and Pecos Bill for CS

Magic Kingdom:

Table Service - Crystal Palace: The buffet is large and well staffed. There is a large variety of foods to choose from. Even the most picky eater will find something they like here.

Counter Service - Peco Bills: Order a burger and fix it any way you like at the large fixins' bar. Sauteed mushrooms and onions! Yummy!

MGM Studios:

Table Service - Sci-Fi: Love the atmosphere and the food. Service has always been good. The BLT soup, the burgers and the Reuben sandwich are all delicious!

Counter Service: Toy Story Pizza Planet. We always forget that they serve really good pizza there. The salads are fresh too.

Downtown Disney:

Rainforest Cafe: The atmosphere here is a hit with both kids and adults. Order the appetizer plate as an entree. It has egg rolls, chicken strips, fried calamari and blue crab and cheese dip. A trip to Rainforest Cafe isn't complete without trying the Volcano dessert. Huge dessert made with three large warm brownies surrounding two large scoops of vanilla ice cream and drizzled with lots of caramel and chocolate.

Planet Hollywood: The chicken crisper appetizer is good. They are breaded in flour and Captain Crunch cereal. The lasagna is delicious! The burgers are some of the best around.

Hope this helps. Have a great trip and eat lots of good food! Lisa

MGM - Definitely 50's Prime Time. SciFi is also interesting but the food can be hit or miss, though the last time we were there it was good. Both are a lot of fun, so eat your lunch at the 50's PT and then have dessert later at the SciFi. Jay

We love House of Blues at DTD...if you are looking for CS Wolfgang Puck Express is awesome!
