littleshamrock,

I think you will be pleasantly surprised at the quality of vegetarian choices available at most TS restaurants. Check out www.allearsnet.com The dining section will help.

My absolute favorite counter service meal in the WS is the Vegetarian platter at the Tangerine Cafe (Morocco), and I'm not even a vegetarian! :teeth:

There's also a book called Vegetarian Walt Disney World and Greater Orlando. I was looking at it in a bookstore the other day, and it looks really detailed and helpful.

Both Boma and Jiko at the AKL have good vegetarian selections. Almost any WDW TS restaurant will prepare a veggie entree for you if you ask to speak to the chef. My DD is a vegetarian and has had some wonderful entrees at the Brown Derby and Spoodles. She spoke to the chef at both restaurants and they prepared pasta dishes with every veggie they had in the kitchen.

Spoodles always does an incredible job for us, when we ask for a vegetarian entree. It's not a menu item, typically, but that seems to allow them to go full-bore and give us a great product.

I love BOMA, Jiko and San Angel Inn! San Angel Inn has a separate veggie menu as does Narcoossees. Wolfgang Puck Cafe is delicious too! The chefs at Boma are right there for you to ask questions and they are very helpful! The Vegetarian Walt Disney World book is helpful, even though it is somewhat out dated.

:flower: We love that book! :flower:

Some of our favorite vegetarian meals are at:
Mama Melrose
Jiko
Boma
Columbia Harbour House**
Wolfgang Puck's Cafe
San Angel Inn
California Grill
Tangeriene Cafe

**One word of advice, though. The book tells you that you can order the Garden Galley Salad without chicken. We tried that and still found bits of chicken through the salad. We took it back to the counter and got the 'ol standby --> Lighthouse Sandwich and Vegetarian Chili

Also, I got an awesome scoop of chocolate Tofutti at the Main Street Ice Cream Parlor!

:cool1:
Oh! Also, anybody remember what's on the San Angel Inn Veg. menu, and what the prices were?
Thanks!

I don't remember the prices, but it includes something with a bean burrito, black beans and an enchilada. The salsa is SO good and I coudn't get enough of the black beans! YUM!

Yes the veggie combo platter is GOOD! I think the price is around $10-$13. There also was a big salad with cactus in it! I've always had the platter!
