I have also posed this question on the Restaurant forum, so I hope nobody minds the cross post but I'm looking for as much input as possible.

I'm scheduled to take a week long trip to Orlando next month for company training and plan on hitting WDW every evening after 5:00 P.M. What would be good places to eat for a solo traveler?

We took a family vacation at WDW last September, and we plan on going again this year in September so I will be buying an AP prior to arriving.

I really enjoyed Kona and Mama Melrose, but didn't really pay attention to how it would be for solo dining. I'd also like to hear about other places that may make for a great solo dining experience, and I am open to all suggestions as I enjoy most all types of food. TIA.

I would make reservations for Rose and Crown Restaurant during the fireworks... nice mail and the best view...

Also the best places to enjoy the fireworks are from the restaurants ousite seating area and as the side next to the water has tables for two persons only I guess that is where a single person would be placed to...

So nice view,
Great location,
and something to do (watching Illuminations)

It is the place I would pick if I was on my own...

Enjoy...

kona cafe is fine for a solo....

make sure at Rose and Crown you request a table - there is a bar.

Beaches and Cream at Bc/YC - has tables plus a bar. (you generally don't have to wait to sit at the bar)

I went to Cape May Cafe breakfast as a solo....

Boma is also nice!

Any of the food courts!!!

I'd look at restaurant menus - allearsnet.com has a ton - and see what you interests you for food. I've eaten at quite a few and enjoyed them all as a solo diner except Alfredo's blah blah blah in Italy. Just wasn't comfortable when I went. Usually try to go to Sci-Fi or 50's Prime Time - had fun experiences at both. Also had a real nice experience and great meal at Coral Reef in October and the best WDW burger at Big River Grill this past weekend. I also like grabbing a hot dog at Casey's right before the fireworks and finding a small out of the way place to eat while I'm waiting.

Cheers!

I think almost anywhere is a good place to go. I really like the Brown Derby, Le Cellier, and Kona. Also you can sit solo at the Cooking Place inside Jiko.

I enjoyed the bar at Prime Time Cafe. It was great b/c the PTC was fully booked....turning people away and I was able to walk in and have fried chicken (holy portion size!!!) at the bar in the waiting area.
