Best place to watch the fireworks?

I'm sure this has been asked before but I did a search and checked the stickies and can't find the answer. Sorry!

Where are the best places to view the Fireworks? I'm assuming the Hub but I guess you also have to stake out a spot ages in advance?? How far in advance would I have to try to grab a spot.

If it's a long wait to ensure a "best" seat, where are the second best spots? Main Street? Outside the railway station? Are there any other clever spots that I should know about?

TIA

The best place, without a doubt to watch the fireworks at DL is at "Coke corner." It's on Main Street. You park yourself on the rails about two hours before the fireworks. You can't get better. The fireworks are 360 degrees and you can see the show on the castle and in front of the castle.

We always are at Coke corner to watch the fireworks.

Thanks Leslye,
The Coke corner sounds great but unfortunately we only have a couple of days there and may not get back for a loooong time so I can't see us sitting in one spot for 2 hours :sad2:

Maybe we'll have to make do with 'second best' ?

I agree that the coke corner is a great place to watch fireworks because you are in front of the section right behind the ropes. Another good place to watch is right inside the ropes of the back of the section in front of this...did that make sense? SOMETIMES you can slip inside the rope because people are sitting and the CMs make them stand and move up. If you don't have a stroller, you can fit 2- 4 people with your back against the rope 20/30 minutes before the fireworks.

We've also watched fireworks close to the castle to the left by the pavilion on Saturday nights where they have the swing dancing. Not the greatest, the trees and castle are in the way for some fireworks, but at less than 15 minutes we've watched families scramble for space there.

Just a warning, CMs start blocking off parts of Main Street and the sidewalks become one way around 20 minutes before the fireworks start. (Which btw, is a better system than the MK at WDW)

I heard somewhere that near IASW is a good place to view the fireworks and castle, this accurate?

It is a nice alternative place to watch, but it is NOT the same as watching from the hub. Totally different vantage point and changes the whole thing (which sounds obvious but it's really very different).

And since none of us have seen the Halloween fireworks, if you're asking about that particular show, no one can really give a definitive answer, b/c we just don't know! Yet. :)
