Best Place to Watch Fireworks & Fantasmic?

I know that I have read of good spots to watch the fireworks on Main Street, and Fantasmic by the Rivers of America, but where are the good spots to watch both Fantasmic and the Fireworks on the same night? Can they be watched from the same spot, or is it best to change spots between the shows?

Also, how long does Fantasmic last and how long do the Fireworks normally last?

You really can't watch the fireworks and Fantasmic from the same place. Fantasmic is shown at the River, and you can see the fireworks from there, but they aren't as spectacular from that location. Fantasmic is about 20 minutes long, and so are the fireworks. There are around 5 minutes between the 9:00 Fantasmic show and the 9:25 fireworks, and there is NO easy way to get from the river to Main Street for the best fireworks viewing. If you are going to Disneyland on a night when there are 2 Fantasmic showings, I would recommend watching the fireworks, and then move into the River area to watch the second showing of Fantasmic at 10:30. It is actually easier to get a pretty decent spot to watch the show from during the second showing.

I agree with watching the fireworks first, then going to the second show of Fantasmic. We always watch the second show anyway. When people are getting up after the first one is over, we zoom in and get a front seat. No waiting for 4+ hours like I see some people do!
