I have never been one to sit and wait for the parades for some reason. So this trip I thought I would make a point of doing this so I can take some pictures. So where would you say the best place is to view the parade from to get some good pictures and how far in advance do you need to be there (I am guess next week is going to be busy!!)
Thanks.

I personally like to watch it from just by IASW where it usually starts. That way there is not so much of a wait as if you were stood at top of Main St for example waiting for it to come round - then as soon as it has passed we rush off to try and get on a ride whilst its a bit quieter.

We waited near the towers that lead you into Fantasyland.... Good place as we wedged ourselves in and it meant nobody could shove in front!

Sounds like a good place, is that just infront of IASW? Where will the front be, do they usually put rope or something to show where the front is?
Or do u just stand infront of the path?
(hope u know what i mean :rotfl: )

I love to watch the parade sat on the pavement in Main Street with the castle as a backdrop in the pics. But you need lots of time for this, need to hunt out a spot at least 45 mins before parade starts, when the parks are busy, and there's always lots of pushing and shoving.

Near IASW is a great place to watch. Good view and if you're pushed for time like we will be on Thursday, once its passed its usually easier to get on the rides as most people will be watching on Main Street.

Enjoy the parade,it really is worth watching, have a fab time!:cool1:

we watched it a couple of times and I have to say my favourite is sitting down on Main Street but what I noticed when we were there recently that at the end of the parade the Princesses were coming back out in Main Street next to the Photo shop for photo's with people who had been waiting there, they were trying to be discreet and standing to the right of the entrance where the parade ends up but it's just an idea in case you want to try and catch any of them :)

Thanks for the info, I think we will try for near the start of the parade by IASW. I think Main Street might be too crowded. Now if only they had published the times for parades and shows for next week I might be able to work out what time I need to go and get a good spot!

hi i have a place to watch the parade.
its a bit naughty go up in the castle and have a look at stained glass windows and you find the exit there is a balcony wear you can watch the parade from.
found by accident a few years ago.

I did actually think of that too! But I figured you would not get good pictures of the characters from up there as you won't be at the right angle for the floats.

our first day just as we came in the parade was coming up main street and we watched it there but it was busy and we got a spot and had a great view. another day we watched it just a little up from iasw and got to see the princess's dance which my little girl loved.

i have to say i was a bit shocked with all the pushing and shoving. and i mean adults pushing kids out of the way!!! one day i was watching it and shoved my buggy in so i couldnt be moved and nobody would leave these poor kids in to get a look and they were jumping up and down trying to get a glimpse. i moved my buggy for them and they were so happy. but i mean it wasnt that busy people were just standing with plenty of space either side of them instead of pushing in to let someone else get a view. a lady made my little girl cry one day by doing this. im really small and my lil girl couldnt see snow white and got so upset so i just pushed in and ignored the dirty looks lol

I usually stand at the beginning on Main Street where Mickey's float stops or just by IASW....

I havent encountered any pushing and shoving when it comes to the parade, i guess im just lucky lol.

This past summer the park was very busy, we watched it from Bella Notte or just opposite and each time we just got a place around 15 - 20 minutes before the parade started. It meant we got to see the Princesses dancing as well.

IASW = Its A Small World, the ride in Fantasyland.

Ahhhhh, thats it :thumbsup2 . Thanks Danak

:lmao: I was trying to think of everything, Tower of terror (no TOT), Space Mountain (SM). Its a Small World, of course. :rotfl:

anywhere where you can stand against the corndened off rope is good as no one can push in front of you then like they do in main street as they sit on the curbs.

IASW sounds like a great idea, have fun
