Besides the dessert package, where is the best place to view Fantasmic? Awhile back I read on the posts about some pillars that seemed to block the view, but then they went down right before the show. Has anyone heard of this?
We are planning on going to 10:30 show on Wed. after seeing ELP in CA.

Actually, what they're talking about is to stand behind the center light tower. It goes up right before the show, so, so long as you're not standing in the center of the light tower, you've got a pretty clear view of the show.

I'm confused. How can I stand in the center of the tower if it goes up? Where exactly is the tower?

The BEST place to view Fantasmic is right on the brick terrace directly infront of Cafe Orleans. This is a elevated terrace and you can choose to either stand to the absolute right of it (facing the Rivers of America) or you can sit on the steps. I advise standing as this will ensure you the best view. Or another great spot is on the bridge infront of the POTC. I have video taped Fantasmic from this spot. Your view of the Peter Pan scene is slightly blocked momentarily, but otherwise a great viewing area as well. I also do advise watching the 2nd showing, so you don't have to stake your spot out 3 hours before (during peak summer season). Have a great time! :wave2:

Is fantasmic the light show?
And where is Cafe Orleans?
What time does it start?
How long does it last?

Forgive my 40 questions...but I have one other for those who have been to HOJOS....Can you witness the fireworks from here?

Thanx a million.....

Me too!! We arrive next Friday night!

To answer most of your questions, go to these two links (on the first one you'll have to scroll down to see the info about Fantasmic). There are usually two shows, one before the fireworks and one after... you will get an exact time sheet for all the shows when you arrive at the park, but the second link has pretty good info on that.

Hope you have a magical trip!! :wave2:

The light tower is pretty much in front of Cafe Orleans and the French Market. It's in a closed off area (so the techs have room to work, though they allow some VIPs in there), but you can stand in the area behind it. People won't stand there because they think the tower will block their view, but about 5 minutes prior to show time, the tower goes up, leaving a clear view, other than the support pole.

WDW Fanatic: There is no stadium for Fantasmic. It's set up on the Rivers of America. Similar to the Illuminations set up.

topjars: Cafe Orleans is located in New Orleans Square right off the Rivers of America. Fantasmic is not a light show, but more of Fireworks, water show... really undescribable, but totally worth it.

During peak times, Fantasmic is shown at 9:30 pm and 10:30 pm.
It's 25 minutes long. If there's 2 shows, I'd go to the 2nd show, just so you don't have to stake out your spot so far in advance.

Hope this helps!

It does thanx sparklepower...and bella too. Hope I bump into you over there.
Traded in 17000 AUD for 12086 USD today....depressed me for about hhhhhhhmmm 1 minute

If you have kids and you want to sit then where is the best place to sit? Is it possible to find a spot close to the water??

I dont think standing will work great unless were in a spot where noone is in front of the kids. Will this "light stand" idea work in that situation?

mshrm: if you stake a spot on the Terrace right at the rail, then no one will get in your childrens viewing. My kids (2 & 4) stood my themselves with no obstruction.
Or you can get right on the rail next to the water. Be warned, you will get wet with nasty duck poopy water. :worried:
